Orai - Improve Public Speaking

This app is great but I chose to delete it because the privacy policy says they store copies of my data and analysis of my speaking on their servers. In today’s lack of security climate these servers will eventually be breached. With phones containing gigabytes of storage I don’t see why it’s not possible to offer service like this and not send any data back to the developer.

At first, I love it because it was helping me improve my speaking skills. And, I did enjoyed it, the app was prefect. But, it stop working in mid level 4 exercise 2. And, I even sent email to them through their feedback email (there’s no other contact provided, either this platform or the feedback one), and beside I haven’t receive reply yet!! Well, It’s been 3 days now, I can’t continue with the less. So, there is nothing left to do but to delete this app. 👉The idea of creating this Orai app is great invention, but it needs a little fixing 🛠⚙️🔩

The design is great, the idea is good, but so many bugs, gosh! It kind of ruins the experience, sometimes exercises don’t start, some time the analysis is stuck and you should start again the exercise

I love this app, and have used it many times in the past. However, now it doesn’t even record. I deleted it and reinstalled the app, but now it just shows the Orai logo, and nothing else. Is anyone else having this issue? It worked so well before! I hope it will work again. Thanks.

Wow! I’m impressed with this app and feel I am at the toastmasters level already :-) It measures your “fillers” (pesky hums and haas), your pace (100-150 words a minute ideal) and your energy (time variation to keep it alive and not monotone). It offers bite size exercices (30 sec and up) that scale up in difficulties so it keeps it easy to progress through. Just wow.

I have a tendency to speak quickly and in one big breath. This app is helping to keep speed and clarity on my mind as I speak. I highly recommend it to anyone trying to improve their public speaking!

Not scaling to fit an iPad (specifically the Mini) automatically results in a one star rating. Orai isn’t a new app, nor is it cheap. There’s no excuse for not scaling. On the Mini, there’s a four inch black border around the app and the hit detection is off. Typing within the app is extremely frustrating because even if you hit the right key, a letter surrounding the key may detect the hit. If you’re charging a $50 annual subscription, the least you can do is add scalability so when running it on an iPad, it doesn’t look like an app from 2012.
