Volume control

I am very disappointed to find that on pairing with my Osia 2 implant that was activated today, the volume control on the app has no effect whatsoever on the volume of sound that I hear.

Extremely Basic App

As others have said, there are no words or descriptions, just icons. I’m currently setup on the Apple icon - I don’t know what the Apple stands for but it sounds the best when I’m at home. You can manually adjust the equalizer but nothing is labeled so you don’t know what you’re adjusting. It would be nice to have a battery percentage indicator. There is a battery icon in the info dashboard but I don’t think I’ve ever seen it change so I’m not sure that it’s an indicator of how much battery life is left. There’s a neat little dashboard if you touch the info button at the bottom, but it doesn’t allow you to make adjustments so I’m not sure what its purpose is. It just falls short of my expectations considering the technology used for the implant and sound processor.

Needs overhauling

It’s ok. I’m grateful there’s something….but my kids gaming apps can track kids in different parts of my house but this app thinks my device is in the Indian Ocean…literally. Icons instead of words are incredibly frustrating to understand the best best environment to use the different settings. Even an explanation of what each setting does would be incredibly helpful. I feel like the app may have designed for a 6-12 target age range, hence all the icons instead of words. But, it’s crippling for adults that need actual explanations. The only thing I truly use on the app is the volume slider. I have sound issues that I would love to address and I think the app could be useful if I only knew what each setting could do! Please overhaul this app with accurate detailed explanations of all of the settings and options and the recommended environments of all of the saved presets! The magnet of the device is STRONG. In fact, if you get close to a stronger magnet than what’s on your bone the device will “jump” to the stronger magnet. I was bending over to clean behind my fridge when my device “jumped” to the back of the fridge. I knew the general area of where it landed, but I thought the broom I was using knocked it off and it landed on the floor….or worse, in the trashcan where I was dumping all the litter my kids missed making into the trash can. A location tracking would have been really helpful! Thankfully, my husband saw it before we started digging through the trash. I really hope the app developers can step in and make this app way more useful and user-friendly!

Terrible.

I had to remove the app from my phone because it keeps making my device cycle through the different modes for no reason at all. It’s glitchy and should be so much better considering the price paid for the implant. I am thoroughly unimpressed. Do better.

Bilateral implants/processors inop

I get that there's a process with glitches needing ironed out and this is a new device and new software, my personal circumstance with the app tho - it recognizes my bilaterals as connected, but is only working with one of the processors... The app short-comings is what is going to leave so many newcomers with a bad taste in their mouth for getting the osia bone conduction implants. If y'all aren't going to fix the app issues what good is any of the implant process, sad that this app can cripple an entire community of users. Please step-up and get it right, so we can fully enjoy the benefits of everything we went through

Doesn’t work on iPads despite listing compatibility and when it can be opened on a phone it’s buggier than a manure pile with a similar quality level.

Doesn’t even open on iPads

buggier than a forest on

They list iPad compatibility but it won’t even open on my iPad which is specifically listed as being compatible. And it’s buggy and slow on devices even when I can open it. I’d much rather 90’s level graphics and a reliable app to whatever this is

Very inconsistent

I was told from my Cochlear rep that the app would be compatible with iPhone 12 Pro Max by the end of summer. Last I checked, it’s still not. Very frustrating when someone pays too dollar and they can’t use it the way it was intended.😢

Horrible from a programming and end-user point

jdjeufhje on

I’ve written programs and APIs and whoever made this interface should be fired and never given a job in Medical or Technology fields. There’s no decent written manual for the app and the help pages are incredibly vague and poorly defined. The developers should have majored in homeopathy with the lack of their skills in translating medical technology. However, I can’t wait for Cochlear America’s to give me an auto-generated response on here like they have everyone else.

Copy the Baja App!!!!

Tony4GiGi on

Vereinigte Staaten

The Baja app was great. Easy to change volume. Easy to connect to microphone and tv streamer. The Osia app is a pain to do anything and won’t let me initiate connections to other devices. And, I should be able to CHOOSE to stream from my device, not have that as default.
