Outdoor Photography is the magazine for photographers who are passionate about being out in wild places, seeing inspiring nature and having great adventures. These activities go hand in hand with an interest in conservation and the environment. Each issue features a stunning array of photographs with regular contributions by leading photographers from the UK and beyond. The magazine is renowned for its informed and in-depth technique features and its superb guides to photographic locations around the UK.

Paid for app downloads include one issue of the user’s choice. Free app downloads do not include a free issue unless otherwise stated. Within the app users can also purchase the current issue and back issues.
Subscriptions are also available within the application. A subscription will start from the latest regular issue at the time of purchase.
-The subscription will renew automatically unless cancelled more than 24 hours before the end of the current period. You will be charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of the current period, for the same duration and at the current subscription rate for the product.
-You may turn off the auto-renewal of subscriptions through your Account Settings, however you are not able to cancel the current subscription during its active period.
-Payment will be charged to your iTunes account at confirmation of purchase and any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when a subscription to that publication is purchased.
-If a subscription offers a free trial, at the end of the trial period, you will be charged the full price of the subscription. You may cancel a subscription during its free trial period via the subscription settings on your iTunes account. This must be done 24 hours before the end of the subscription period to avoid being charged.
Users can register for/ login to a pocketmags account in-app. This will protect their issues in the case of a lost device and allow browsing of purchases on multiple platforms. Existing pocketmags users can retrieve their purchases by logging into their account.
We recommend loading the app for the first time in a wi-fi area so that all issue data is retrieved.
If your app will not load past the splash page after a first install or an update, please delete and reinstall the app from the App Store

Simply the best.

I have had no problems at all with the app. The content is flawless, brilliant photography. It is worth it just for the artwork.

A huge improvement

I have read the paper version of the magazine for years and always liked it. The old app was pretty useless but the new one is a lot better and so far works well.

Best app on market

Have never had any problem with this app compared to other photography magazine apps

Great magazine

I look forward to his arriving on my iPad every month. It's full of great articles and (of course) photos. It's always read cover to cover.

Mr

I purchased the app and discovered that I am unable to get the online access to the magazine even though I am an annual subscriber of the hard copy. There is no apparent way of making the link and benefitting from the online view as well. Have I missed something somewhere?

The Best

High production values, good and varied content, aimed at correct market segment. Range and quality of images - from both contributors and readers - is amazing. Enthrals, educates and entertains whilst promoting the best in nature and outdoor photography. Highly recommended. Whilst of no personal concern, the only real weak points are photographic equipment reviews which seem superficial and based on manufacturers' specs rather than deep and objective testing. Seems to have become rather unstable lately...

Needs Updating

iOS9 has stopped issues downloading. They hang part way through. Please fix; as a subscriber I want to access new issues.

Repeated crashing

Every time I try to open a magazine or download the issue I have just purchased, or access my back catalogue it crashes. I have deleted and re-downloaded the app but it's the same. Complete waste of money. Reported to Apple.

Excellent content but clunky interface

Great magazine but the digital version doesn't do it justice nor does it make the most of the medium. Missed opportunity. Will go back to a print subscription I think.

What a let down

After the original app on here was excellent and worked perfectly the update has meant iv lost all my mags an the interface is bloody awful. I won't purchase hard copies again due to the space and looks like I won't have it online anymore either.. Very poor show.
