OUTMAP: hike, ski, outdoor

The functionalities of the app are great. You can easily rotate and pan the map view and it all performs smoothly. It even shows the direction of the pistes, but only when quite zoomed in (could be better). However, the app was still unusable for me as the piste colours don't match with the official map. I tested it in Val Thorens and lead to some initial confusion with my friends. Ended up using Slopes as it was more accurate.

Outmap is amazing! It has all of the layers that I crave yet exudes simplicity. I have yet to use it offline, but for home base mission planning it is superb.

So far so good! PNW based and has everything you’d want for backcountry skiing

A few small bugs here and there but the developer is actively fixing them almost immediately.

FINALLY someone has stepped in to take FATMAPS place. This app is extremely useful for backcountry route navigation. Everyone buy the pro version and help make sure Strava doesn’t buy out these guys too…

Absolutely bonkers. I have been using it a lot recently and it really upgrade my adventure game. Thanks for the ongoing updates!

A similar app that we all know and love was removed in an act of vandalism by a massive corporation, to see a developer doing such amazing work on something that truly helps people every single day is just incredible. The only reason I still have a cell phone is for this technology right here Keep it up Felix

Big fan of how involved the developer is with the ongoing changes in the app. Bugs are fixed quickly. No issues so far and I applaud the efforts made. Looking forward to future development of the app. :)

So far so good with the OUTMAP app. I’ve been looking for another option after Strava decommissioned FATMAP. Haven’t used it offline yet but will test it next week on a backcountry ski trip. What a deal at $1.99/month

This seems like a good alternative to Fatmap and the price for premium is quite reasonable. My only gripe is that I wish the winter Satellite imagery was on par with the old Fatmap winter imagery. Otherwise great app.
