OutMuseum

The OutMuseum is the first LGBTQ+ arts and media virtual museum of its kind - available free to the public. Home to a combination of rotating and permanent exhibits centering themes, identities, and experiences which celebrate and commemorate the queer and trans communities we serve as an organization, the OutMuseum places the telling of our past, present, and future into the hands of those who have lived this past, are surviving its present and will be imagining a thriving future for it. Through short film collections, panels and roundtables, oral histories, and other multimedia within our slate of exhibits, this space offers the ability to foster discussions, increase access to art and information, and, most importantly, speak to histories that are regularly omitted from the record. Because what is history, if not storytelling? And it is all available for free!
The OutMusem offers:
Classic films from the Outfest UCLA Legacy Project, the only program in the world exclusively dedicated to preserving lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender moving images
Guest filmmaker curators for short film programs with audio commentary, Q&As and other exclusive content
Roundtables, panels, and workshops with queer storytellers
Live events and archives of past events (e.g. Legacy Gala keynote speeches)
Virtual watch parties and happy hours

OUTFEST®, est. 1982, is one of the only global LGBTQIA+ arts, media, and entertainment organizations whose programs empower artists, communities, and filmmakers to transform the world through their stories, while also supporting the entire lifecycle of their careers. Outfest’s mission creates visibility to diverse LGBTQIA+ stories and empowers storytellers, building empathy to drive meaningful social change. Outfest programs give artists, filmmakers, and entertainment professionals the opportunity to discover their voice, provide pathways to the visibility of their work by all members of the public, and assure that their legacy will live on for generations to come.
To access all features and content you can subscribe to OutMuseum on a monthly or yearly basis with an auto-renewing subscription right inside the app.* Pricing can vary by region and will be confirmed before purchase in the app. In app subscriptions will automatically renew at the end of their cycle.
