OVO Energy Top-Up

If this is the future of smart meter apps then I'm not impressed . compared to other "smart apps" this one is seriously lacking

All works as it should apart from a very irritating pop up ‘continue to app’ pop up screen every time you change screens/select icons. The SSE app had exactly the same issue so the app coding and functionality were probably a cut and paste job. A little bit of plagiarism goes a long way… Perhaps you could ‘push’ notifications about the top up system being unavailable rather than people discovering this just before the downtime, when topping up?

Some days it tops up fine majority of the time it just loads like it’s confirming the top up then never tops up can never speak to anyone about it as they just assume you don’t have money

Ok, so it’s easy to top up via the app, the problem I have is that the app keeps trying to take multiple payments, support try to blame my bank but as my bank tells me, they don’t issue payments without my request, the multiple payment requests aren’t fulfilled, but it is so annoying that they keep happening.

It’s showing £15 balance in gas meter on 02/01/25 and on the top I put £15 it’s will be total balance £30 but not showing right balance, now 5th of January it’s showing only balance £7 I don’t know what’s going on

The Balance is Always days behind what it is actually on. Crashes when topping up says error but payment goes through, so sometimes I put double on . Nightmare to be honest

Takes too long to show funds that I put on, gas and electric, so you don't really know where you are energy wise

This app is very convenient however it’s very annoying when you have to login every single time as it seems to log you out a lot.

The app is rubbish, it doesn’t update, most of the time I top up it says time out error then when I check the money has gone from my bank, looking to switch to another energy company as this is too stressful
