Pagebound: Social Book Tracker

Pagebound is a lovely little community of readers. Each book has its own forum, meaning we finally have a place outside of reviews to discuss the books we’re reading! Plus the creators of Pagebound are open to feedback. So many current features have come from user requests and recommendations. The best part of this app? It’s not like social media. You don’t need to rack up followers or have a good “take” to be visible. When you post in a book forum, anyone with that book in their library can see it! This can be an adjustment for new users, but it’s such a welcome change once you get used to it.

Find it odd that they ask people to write only in English. What about books in other languages? Not everyone speaks English, and online translators are a thing as well. With how things are going in the world the last thing we need is to be excluding people based on language. I was excited to try this app, but rubs me the wrong way people are expected to only talk in English.

I was so intrigued by the website when it first rolled out and the app didn’t disappoint! Love the community and love the design - I get excited to open the app. It’s one I keep going back to and I’ve tried Goodreads and fable and a few others but Pagebound is my favorite by far.

EDIT: As of 10/20/25 the app has added both a progress tracker and different versions of the book including page numbers and dates published!! So excited to see these changes! I LOVE the way the app is set up with the forums to talk about books at certain percentages, and the quests they have. I wish there were just a few things added that other tracking apps have, like a progress bar, and some more info about the book itself (publication date, how many pages, format of paperback vs. hardback) but overall I’m super happy with it. I love the bright fun colors, as well as the review system with the emoji’s! And the best part is that it’s woman owned and completely anti-AI!

First of all, YES. You can transfer your data from G**dr**ds and other apps as a you start your Pagebound account. Now for my review. I fell in love with this platform when I was first introduced to the web version. I saw it evolve and even had the opportunity to do some beta testing for the App. Now that the App is out, I’m still seeing some great additions to the platform as it updates. Needless to say, I’m a huge fan of Pagebound; how it functions as a platform, the amazing community feel that it has, and the fun-ness of the gamification of reading. From seasonal read-a-longs, to half-star review system, to (my favorite part) being able to post in forums for each book as you are consuming it in real-time, and discuss the book with others who are reading it or have read it. I feel that Pagebound takes everything we love about other book tracking apps, adds its flare of design and community, and makes it the best App for not only tracking your reading journey, but interacting with other lovers of books, and making it fun along the way. If you’ve tried other apps and don’t like them, try PB! If you’ve tried other Apps and love them, still try PB! I think it’ll be your new favorite.

I love this app so much! I have about 5-7 book tracking apps and this is by far my favorite. It’s so cute and I love the little game aspect where you can earn points and badges. Lots of fun and highly recommend!

This app is exactly what was needed in the bookish marketplace. Truly addictive and so cute and aesthetic. 10/10 would recommend. I can't wait to see how this platform grows as more being learn about it!

Love that there is finally a book tracking app that is actually fun! Bright colors lots of excitement! Reading is great, why shouldn’t tracking the books bring some level of joy?? And the fact that you can leave comments based on where you are in the book, have discussions,etc. is just icing on the cake.

Absolutely obsessed with Pagebound. Finally an app that gets how I actually read. The monthly/yearly read planner is everything—I love being able to add books I plan to read without having to mark them as “currently reading” when I haven’t even cracked them open yet. It’s such a small thing but it makes a huge difference. It also has a reading goal tracker like Goodreads (bless), plus little challenges/badges like Kindle and Audible that keep things fun. And the rating system? You can rate characters, plot, pacing, etc. like Fable does, which I love because sometimes the vibes are 5 stars even if the ending wasn’t. One last thing and I’ll shut up: your feed only shows books on your shelf. So I’m not getting bombarded with genres I don’t care about. It’s clean, personal, and actually useful. If you’re a mood reader, planner, or just tired of cluttered book apps—Pagebound is it.
