Well no updates for a good while however it works for my needs, ipados 14.6.1

Used to like and recommend this, but no updates in 3 years makes it unusable considering the bugs that still plagues it. Sorry to say.

Best IRC client I've found so far for iOS. And extra credits for dark theme and auto change when darker env. But even though it supports ZNC (IRC proxy) it doesn't play well ZNC buffers. I.e. ZNC allowes you to connect several IRC clients to the same account. The problem is that the client adds all the stored buffer text each time you connect to ZNC, so if you have a buffer limit on 300, this is added to each channel each time you connect/reconnect. So you can have 2000 unread messages while the true number can never be more than 300, etc. A "Mark all channels read" would be welcome. EDIT: After improving ZNC support this IRC client is next to perfect. Well done! 😊👍

I paid the fee to check it out. I don’t get it at all. What’s it supposed to do?

It’s great that it has znc capabilities and I have it setup with linuxserver.io docker-znc image, which includes the palaver extension. But I have to dock palaver one star because it doesn’t have Face ID or a passcode to secure the app. Maybe I’m paranoid, but I don’t want someone using my phone to have access to my IRC.

This is a great app, but I wish above any other feature, that I could automatically sort my channels without having to manually drag the channels around.

It’s really easy to use. The only issue is always be disconnected. But I give 5 star for effort. Many thanks.

So, look. I gave it five stars on a curve. The rest of the field is... lacking. Palaver’s ZNC support is great. The UI is standard iOS, which is good. I’d love for custom themes, or at least the ability to customize elements within a theme. Still, it’s easily the best IRC client on the App Store.

Can you make a keyboard shortcut to focus on the input box though? This is almost completely navigable with keyboard only, except for sending messages 🤠

I like the App so far- aesthetically pleasing, ergonomical, fairly straightforward. HOWEVER, I wish it had a function or option to REMAIN CONNECTED when I go use another app or do something else with my phone. For $1.99, I think I should get that.
