Pando - Connecting Healthcare

I’ve used Pando in 3 hospitals now across different departments and it’s great. It takes a little bit of convincing to explain the benefits, but it works so easily with the secure messaging and wound photography (vital for us as a specialty) and even a jobs list.

Awful app. Messages all look the same, no visual feedback of the Person txting as all come on the same colour, font and size. Impossible to reply to single messages to highlight who are you referring to High risk of miss Important things.

This app is awesome. Has made things so much easier since we have started using it and much safer than WhatsApp. Our trust are rolling out personal issue iPads to staff and I am frustrated to see there is no iPad native app. Would be great if this was in the works.

Secure photo capture is great-export to email means we don’t have to use a digital camera :)

Pando is proving an invaluable addition to our team’s communications. With the different features we are able to share information wide and fast with a knowledge it is safe and data remains protected.

Apart from being secure etc the messaging aspect doesn’t have much going for it. The app can regularly stay on connecting and refuses to open any chats etc. The app also doesn’t offer real-time messaging as you have to go back and forth between chat page and main menu to load the new messages that someone has just sent.

There is so much more this app could be used for as well as just messaging. Really glad we have it. As more and more people start to use it, it will become essential for all healthcare professionals.

I still find the new name off putting, but this is a useful way of communicating which reduces email traffic.
