Parallel Books

Great concept. This app made it much easier for me to learn my target language in the parallel view. Recommended!

Brilliant concept and content, but navigating parallel books (on an iPhone) is so finicky and counter-intuitive that I can’t use the app. Scrolling left/right sometimes switches alternative languages, sometimes switches chapters. Cannot tell which will happen. Sometimes the toolbar disappears leaving the user stuck in an irrecoverable state, unable to get the toolbar to show again. Needs some work… sad to have to be so critical.

It’s really smart to improve your language by reading a great book and as well improving your third language :)

Doesn’t give clear instructions on how to use the app.

Very useable, even, surprisingly, on a relatively small phone screen. Genius features, hope it keeps developing! Would be worth paying for.

Great idea for an app. The App Store description states there are books in Dutch, and so I was excited to download but there is nothing in Dutch available.

A love the idea of reading a book in two languages and never thought that there would be any possibility to do it for free and here is Parallel books...

Cant get one side english -both are german

the new update of apple does not allow to open the books ...

I really like the concept of this app. Even though it doesn't have a big selection, it's very useful. I hope that they take this further. Something I appreciate is that it doesn't have any ads, and you can download the books for free. If they decide to charge something in order to obtain a bigger selection, I feel that would be a good idea. However, I hope they always keep this app ad free; and if ever it becomes popular, that they don't get greedy and start asking a lot money in order to get rid of the ads.
