Parrity

By a long long shot this is the worst browser for the watch created. Way to complex and you can’t even use it without having your phone next to you to use the keyboard. Complete gimmick

Chanced upon the apps by this developer. Parrity is a well thought out app/web browser. I gave it 5 stars because there aren’t 6. PS tilttype is also a very praise worthy effort.

Thank you for building a web app for Apple Watch. My kids watches have internet & mobile via eSims and they don’t own an actual phone . How come we still need an iPhone to install and use Parrity via the WatchOS AppStore? Any chance of this changing in future?

Suddenly stopped detecting Apple Watch. Don’t waste your time.

It’s a well designed full featured app.

It dose work but it can’t load websites or click on websites but apart from that it’s the best I seen so far.

I always wanted a proper web browser on my series 3 42mm Apple Watch, as the screen is large enough with my good eye sight to browse the web on it - I find it comes in handy Checking things like imdb reviews before watching a Netflix movie, reading reddit posts, forums etc, perfect for simple browsing where I don’t have my phone next to me. Also Great for stealth browsing at work etc, and a real Novelty to have the web on my wrist! I find it genuinely useful with at least the larger and faster 42mm series 3 watch as a minimum. I have used the send a google link text to my watch trick recently and found it to be very fast and useful but lacking features like an app icon, the ability to easily access web history or the URL bar.. but besides that the speed, double tap zoom and ability to scroll pages horizontally along with not needing an app on the phone running, makes The google link text hack my favourite way to web browse on my Apple Watch for now, but Parrity has great potential and is much like having a full blown web browser on my watch. It both works and looks great - has a great interface/GUI and the fast scroll feature along with its other features are especially handy, so I can see myself using it regularly with future updates like being a standalone app (it regularly has connection issues for me between the required iPhone app for some reason) horizontal scrolling is a must add feature, without it I can’t read many web pages fully, as with the google txt hack I find it works with all pages I have tried so far, and initial page load speed improvements - the txt hack loads pages initially before caching much faster for me. But don’t get me wrong, as I look forward to seeing how this app evolves over time with subsequent updates. To the creator of this app, you are definitely onto a winner with this app!! And it has much potential with a few updates. Watch web browsing is especially useful on the larger and faster watches like the 42mm series 3 and up - I certainly find it more than just a novelty at times and very handy to have, of course along with the cool Factor a 3/5 stars from me, as currently the default WebKit google txt hack works best, but I hope the developer keeps updating, Adding features and never stops development of this app as with a few changes this could be a 5/5 app. Thank you for creating this fantastic app.
