How the App Works:
To get started
- Download and Install Patient Concierge on your Mobile Device
- ensure you have a WiFi or cellular connection to the Internet on your mobile device.

- Tap on the Patient Concierge icon to launch the app. Set and save the default language you desire. The app home screen will display.
- Lay your bill on a flat surface.
- Locate the QR code on your bill, next to the Patient Concierge logo.
- Select the “Scan & Explain My Bill” button and align the QR Code within the four corners shown in the viewfinder.
- Next, position your phone to align your entire bill within the four corners of the viewfinder on your screen. Be sure your volume is up and the ring or silent switch is off.
- The augmented reality experience will begin when Patient Concierge recognizes your bill.

It’s no wonder why this app has a low rating. All I want to do is pay my bill but you make it so complicated. There is no way someone over 55 years old could figure this out. You have to first scan a QR code on your bill which is fine - I assumed it would take me to a bill
Payment site but no. You have to download an app, then scan QR code again within the app, then a virtual assistant pops up and you have to carefully hold your phone still over the bill while the app uses AR to explain the bill. I just want to pay my bill but it’s impossible to get the Bill payment option to pop up while trying to hold your phone steady over the bill.
Literally awful
Doesn’t work. Won’t scan QR code for nothing and I tried laying it flat, with sufficient lighting and no glare and still nothing. This was a waste of time.

Glitchy, I didn’t need an explanation I just wanted to pay the $20.00 copay. I tried 4 times, and it failed every time. I can’t imagine being sick or elderly trying to line this up and get it into some “sweet spot” where it decides to cooperate. 20 kind of my life I am not getting back. I am deleting this app immediately
Horrible App
Such a basic and frustrating app. I’d rather order checks and go to the post office to mail a payment then use this app.
Useless app
Can’t do the first step which is scanning the QR code and the bill. Uninstalled within 5 mins of installing it to view the details of the bill because it didn’t help at all.
Barely works and hardly useful
Took me five minutes to get it to line up just right. When it finally started working never told me anything useful about my bill. I had questions about specific charges, which this app will not do. Only generic answers to what things are on a bill.
Total waste of time
This app is a complete waste of time. They should scan the entire bill from the very beginning. Instead they make you stand perfectly still well this little emoji tries to explain the different sections of the bill. I could not still stand still enough, and the emoji kept starting over and over and over and over and over and over, very very frustrating!! they say on the website that this app can also provide you access to a team of professionals who can help you. I have no idea where that was all I found was this emoji that just kept repeating in a because I could not stand still enough. I would've liked to of contacted a team of professionals, where are they?? I was looking for information on a specific bill and find out what status it was in. Don't waste your time on this one!
Doesn’t work well
This can’t ever find my QR code! Not user friendly! Deleted the app!
Uses camera/overheats phone
The AR bill explanation is fine, but it’s pretty excessive. And the fact that is has to run in the background the whole time you’re trying to pay your bill means that it uses your phones processor unnecessarily - overheating the phone.
