pCloud - Cloud Storage

Pcloud is saving me a bundle of it.

THE BAD: Logging into the app, I get a progress window that tells me it's loading. If I dare to do something else, it stops loading, despite my background refresh settings. Also, please stop adding insult to injury by asking me if I want to auto-upload photos. I said once because the app can't even load itself. Why can't the app remember my answer. THE GOOD: merely being logged into the app gives me access via Apple's Files app. THE BAD: But this Files.app access does not include the vault. Anything there is unreachable, unless I use their website or my Mac. Why oh why does the pCloud app have more trouble loading than the Files app has reading pCloud's files?

You cannot work on files like you can in Google Drive, but besides that, there is no better storage app than this one. Unlike Google Drive, this platform is easier to know your storage space because it is not tied to a host of other products like Google is. Plus, the customer service has been spectacular! I have used 5 cloud storage platforms and nothing beats pcloud!

The biggest obstacle to using PCloud in any reasonable kind of way as an iOS user has always been the fact that you couldn’t actually view native iPhone images due to lack of support for HEIC images. It made PCloud an absolute pain to use on mobile, and really hard to recommend. In the last few months, this has quietly been updated! It might be missing some of the bells as whistles like Google Photos’ search features, but it has all the basics, doesn’t leach your personal data, and has the incredible value of the lifetime subscription. Heartily recommendable now.

So they changed something and now all I get is “something went wrong” when trying to log in… Lo and behold there’s an update available in the App Store, but I can’t get that because I’d have to be forced to update to the latest OS to… So now I can’t use pcloud any more on my iPad. Thanks a bunch that’s SO AMAZING of a new forced update experience!

You only have 6gigs and 4 gigs you have to do something to get hence up to 10gigs. I kept wondering why it kept indicating I was over my quota I found out I only have 6 gigs not 10 gigs so I deleted all my files deleted my account. And just use Apple less complicated. The software is very nice, support is fast ! It was a little confusing for me about how much storage I initially had. It’s not enough , I don’t need a lot but 6gigs is not enough.

Very slow to load! Slow uploads! Hard to organize as it has to be manual! No automated organization or search possible for dates or location or people! Time consuming process in general... not totally unhappy as it was a good deal but I thing icloud is a better option for better organization:)

Been using it for years. Never had any issues.

Great in theory, and well organized overall. But I have constant backup and sync issues, direct share links almost never work, and I end up spending hours of time on the app which should save time. Lack of customer service brings it down even further; I’m either sent to a series of help articles or, when I do get a human, they give advice that doesn’t address the issue.

Have been using PCloud for many years and it has been a very good backup for my files and other items.
