PenCake - simple notes, diary

앱 자체는 좋은데..ㅠㅠ 개발사 측과 연락할수 있는 수단이 메일 외에 전혀 없는게 진짜 안좋네요. 구매복원때문에 메일 보냈는데 2월에 보낸게 아직도 안읽음이시고.. 오늘 또 보냈습니다.. 전번이라도 알면 좋을텐데요..어쩔수없이 리뷰란에 올려봅니다. 최소 카톡이라도 되먄 좋겠습니다..

Simple, clean, and fairly easy to use, however, I would never actually use this app exclusively because it considers Dark Mode as a “premium’s feature” and not a necessity. Most people, including myself, aren’t using Dark Mode for aesthetic purposes, but as an accessibility option, as Light Modes can be genuinely painful and headache inducing to look at. Dark Mode is required for those with visual disability or impairment, as well as for those who work with writing at night. Without that, this app is nothing to me but the dream of what could have been. Ideal in that it’s free to use, easy to navigate, has basic markdown, a decent amount of functionality. Impossible to give a good review, because it’s actively hurting me every time I try to look at it. Dark Mode is an Accessibility feature, and shouldn’t be behind a paywall, having it stay like that is a huge slap in the face to night owls and the visually impaired. 2 stars given for being free and good at it’s job. 3 stars withheld for having all that and being rendered unusable to me and an entire demographic by mere virtue of considering accessibility a paid privilege.

I browsed, downloaded, and tried a handful of writing apps before finding this one. Many of the other apps available become bloated in both features and aesthetics, whereas PenCake focuses on the innate beauty of text and writing. This allows you the space to simply focus on writing. It’s a wonderful and welcomed break from the attention-grabbing methods in most apps these days. My only wish is for the ability to set up a daily reminder to write, but that’s solved easily enough with third-party apps I already have. 100% recommended.

I use this mainly for the purpose of drafting poems; and it’s a great app for that and much else. I love the light mode — which I don’t say for most apps — and the aesthetics in general. Wonderful app!

안녕하세요, 이 앱을 애용하는 사람입니다 자동 동기화를 위해서 프리미엄도 가입했습니다 분명 글을 다 쓰고 나서 확인을 누르고 잠시 앱을 나갔고 다시 들어오니 내용이 날라가 있었습니다…ㅠㅜ 정말 열심히 썼던 거고 분명 저장도 했는데 날라가버렸네요…ㅠㅠ 이런 일이 또 생기면 진짜 너무 속상할 것 같아요 혹시 자동 저장 기능은 없나요? 자동 저장 기능만 있으면 너무 좋을 것 같아요 ㅠㅠ 앱은 늘 잘 쓰고 있습니다!! 꼭!!! 자동 저장 기능 만들어주세요!! 부탁드려요!!!!

I’m not exaggerating when I say that thanks to this app, my mind is clearer and more organized than ever. I find that this is just the perfect amount of organization that allows me to organize my thoughts, ideas, daily experiences & etc. clearly. Plus the aesthetic is unbeatable. I love it so much. totally satisfied with this app and never regret purchase premium. the design is very elegant and simple, which is the best advantage of this app. however, I hope the developer would add the function to sort articles by pulling it. otherwise, this app is awesome!

But it’s freaking worth mentioning: this app is exactly what I was looking for without even realizing I was. It’s beauty is in it’s simplicity. It doesn’t try to be more than it needs to be. It doesn’t take away from the objective. It actually encourages and focuses the objective through it’s simplicity. Thank you Pencake creators. I’m inspired and delighted.

Most eye pleasing writing app I’ve come across. Love all the customization and features, just one thing. PLEASE give us the option to italicize and bold text!! That’s the one feature that’s lacking for me as a fiction writer and I really think it would make the app perfect in my opinion.

This is the first app that gets the “feel” of writing from its design. I could see an argument for a better search system, but then it would feel like all the other note apps. This is not for high-yield writing - go to $crivner for that. This is more casual and that’s exactly what I’ve been looking for.
