I was so excited to finally find the perfect online Journaling Bible, I downloaded immediately. I’ve seen CSB and ESV as a highly recommended translations so I was sad to see I have to pay for those translations but I got over it and chose a free option. But what’s worse is that you only get to journal in 10 chapters at most for free, and since i’m not looking to have to pay in order to read my preferred translation or to journal in my Bible I am very disappointed.
I have to pay to read the Bible!? I just wanted to use this as a way to study while I was out of the house but ig not. This is crazy. I shouldn’t have to pay money in order to study God’s word.
I like this bible journaling app so far…the only thing I would change is…that I wish there was a way to type notes out versus just writing them. I love the pencils for doodling but I do not love my handwriting for note taking and I like a cleaner look. If this was added than I would be a 10/10!
I would absolutely use this app everyday as I’ve been looking for a bible app I can draw on but I read NIV and I feel like the word of God should be free and instead of making people pay you could add a tipping option.
I absolutely love this app! I can take my bible everywhere. I sit in church and listen to the sermons just writing away. I have had several people ask about my note taking then I share about the pencil bible app. It’s been a game changer.
It doesn’t let me write every time I try to write the screen moves
Love that I can write while I read and make observations on the text without marking up a paper Bible. There are some glaring bugs though: - takes a long time loading - does not track well with my Apple Pencil - which is very frustrating. One other frustration -the free version does not let me work offline. I would be happy to pay for it if it was not a subscription. Edit: I now give this 5-star for iPad. The developer has made significant improvements. This is now an awesome app. I paid for a lifetime subscription ($64 at the time) bc it has been that helpful for my Bible study! 🙌 I have no glitches and it tracks perfectly with my pencil. They’ve added options for highlight and note taking and made the layout easier. P.s. I’ve not yet tried the iPhone version.
So far this app has been great! Love the customization. However, if there are a lot of notes on one page it starts to get bogged down. Writing can become choppy. Not to say that is a deal breaker, because I will still be using this app. Just that it should be known. Possibly just a bug.
I just bought this, thinking I could write in it. I set it up in fonts. Went to a favorite chapter but it doesn’t write or make any kind of mark. Upon further looking, I saw no option to set up for making my own notes. It’s disappointing given reviews from others.
I love that I can hand write on the pages, making notes. I wish more Bible apps were like this one!
