Glitchy

As others noted mic input is glitchy. Good app when it works, but lately has been unusable.

Singing doesn’t work

It marks wrong or correct when I didn’t make a sound. It needs to be fixed

Awesome

All the other apps that offer music theory training have absurd paywalls and subscriptions. This app offers a great amount of free content, and the paid content is reasonably priced. I’ll be purchasing

Incredibly useful

Amazing app. Allows for on the go learning, practice of absolute pitches, rhythm, sight reading, etc. Everything feature can be used for free, with premium being an upgraded/configurable version. This app’s premium is the only in-app purchase I’ve ever made-it’s a one time $5.00 purchase that makes the app even more useful (and isn’t crammed down your throat while you get used to the app.)

Microphone failure

Started out well, unfortunately there’s a bug in the microphone input processing step so although all permissions are in place it doesn’t hear me singing, which is the main thing I needed it for

Glitchy

The app is very glitchy with the interval singing. I did not make a sound and marked me wrong. Sometimes the mic won’t catch the sound. As for the beat it is hard to tell when to start tapping and I would mess up the next run or notes. I cannot change the voice range to mezzo because the keyboard is in the way. There is a lot that this app can fix or improve. All I can say if you want to start somewhere, it is never bad too start here. The great thing is that it gives you the lessons. You can learn in whatever order you like. Records your activities and progresses you make. Most of the activities are free. I think it is plenty enough to learn, until you decided you want to continue by buying the in-app purchase.

Serious bugs

Voice drills / singing trainer does not work consistently. It will work for a few notes then completely stop processing any sounds. If you replay a note/ series during other exercises it will completely short out and you cannot continue. I’ll come back and change my review to 5 stars if and when they ever fix this. It’s been a problem for months. I emailed them and got no response. This could be an amazing app.

Exercises are good mic integration terrible

Literally cannot complete exercises in the interval singing section due to the mic stopping working after about 3 - 5 exercises. Also, there’s no way to adjust the sensitivity of the mic to cut out external/background noise. If the app dev fixes that issue this would a 5star app with purchasing other exercises for. At present it’s a decent free app to get you started

Not for IPones

Does not work well with iPhones. Typically locks up at least once every minute.

App crashes frequently

Most exercises do not launch. No response from developers.
