Terrible UI, unreliable imports.
Complete waste of time. I imported all my faves from Apple's equally dismal Photos app and this app imported some of them. Wasted an entire evening.

All my precious cataloged photos have gone. The library is empty. I hope this can be sorted but I fear that this is permanent.
Looking to upgrade my iPad Photos app to the same functionality as my MacBook, specifically the ability to change titles. Ok, I can now change these but can’t see them without bringing up each individual photo. The rest of the “features” are no better than the Photos app.
I paid for this app for the shuffling slideshow feature, and it’s a complete rubbish, the slideshow always shows the same pictures and most of the time the slideshow gets stuck on a black screen. I paid for this app!! This is just awful. I have now found an app on the store that is completely free which is so much better, and which actually works!! No bugs and all the pictures are actually shuffling
This is a very nice app that fills a niche, giving functionality that the Apple photos app does not. The two work in good combination, with PMP acting more as a photo repository. If you use a ‘Shared’ folder to contain all your other folders, you can also get at whatever you put in PMP via the Apple File Manager app. What it needs right now, though, is an update to kill the glitches when importing and make if fully compatible with the latest IOS.
I had been searching in vain for a program that would allow me to organise photographs into albums, write descriptions, add tags and then search for photos of interest. This app does it beautifully and is a must for anyone who wants to photograph collections of things - be they plants, minerals, birds, antiques or whatever - and then sort and arrange the photographs. So far, I have used to program only with local images on my iPad.
Had a new phone, swapped over and the app has lost years worth of photos. Tried to do the back up again, nothing. Extremely disappointed that the iCloud I had set up hasn’t saved them.
This app works for everything I wanted to do. I can view the file names, and choose where I want to keep my photos without all the hassle. The app can also get photos from the iOS Files app, which makes moving photos a lot easier than the standard iOS Photos app. The Apple photos app does everything that Apple wants, but zero choice for the user. This app is superb, and gives plenty of choice. Data is not collected, so privacy is good. Dark mode too. What’s not to like? Suggestion: I’d rather see thumbnails in the photo’s own format. 16:9 in my case. Not cropped into square thumbs. Please, can we have an option in Settings for that? A few more folder colours would be nice. Maybe red and grey. But it’s not a real issue. Great app, and thank you to the developers.
Location metadata has disappeared in the most recent update, a function I use a lot. Annoyingly will have to now use another app, this is infuriating. Surely updates shouldn’t remove a basic function?
Edit June 2021 …. Are we going to get an upgrade soon? Upgraded from many years using previous version. The only problem that I really have with this release is that when I select a photo to view and wish to start a slideshow FROM THAT PHOTO, PMPro starts the slideshow from the FIRST PHOTO in the album and works through from the start, whichever way the album is sorted. Eg if I am viewing #50 of an album of 100 and then select the slideshow album, the slideshow goes #1, #2, #3 ..... I would like the slideshow to commence from the selected photo, so that if am viewing #50 of an album of 100 and then select the slideshow album, the slideshow goes #50, #51, #52 ...... If required, an option in the slideshow section of Settings could toggle between Start Slide at #1 or Start Slideshow at Current Slide. Thank you.
