Piano Marvel - Lessons & Music

If you’re serious about learning the piano then this is the app for you. Brilliantly structured and designed, it’s an immersive experience in the best kind of way. I love the tiered approach to learning with each level challenging enough to make you work to get to the next one. It can become quite addictive. A good library of music too, more than enough to keep you happy. So glad I found this app!

Having never played a musical instrument before and unable to read music I am amazed how quickly I have progressed in the first few days and weeks. Having bought a full size midi keyboard with the intention of learning to play the piano years ago I finally started 2-weeks ago. It all works perfectly connected to my iPad, very easy to set up and start learning. In just a few days, I am already reading basic sheet music, playing music whilst reading the sheet music, playing two handed and in beat (just about) lol. After the 7-day free trial I upgraded to the annual subscription as I was very pleased with how much I had progressed in such a short time and for me it’s money well spent. Update: It’s now 7-months since I placed my original review and I still rate Piano Marvel as an excellent app if you are wanting to learn how to play the piano. Josh from Piano Marvel has been very helpful in assisting me with my questions and I have made good progress in learning the songs I most want to learn and play. The ability to upload your own content into Piano Marvel is a great feature especially if the library doesn’t already offer it. This is one of the best piano apps available (in my opinion), keep up the good work.

This didn’t help at all, it isn’t beginner friendly and doesn’t tell you how to read sheet music. It expects you to know the notes instantly in the 3 seconds you get to prepare. It needs a way to show you the notes in letter format and not just sheet music.

I Downloaded this app from the AppStore and tried the free version, but having already used Flowkey I am somewhat disappointed. I think the dashboard and other features could be a little bit more simpler and the learning process that shows you which keys to press was a bit slow. I tried to like Piano Marvel but my first experience was a little disappointing, or maybe I just didn’t try it long enough. I have tried others like Simply piano, etc but keep going back to Flowkey which in my opinion is the best overall for learning the piano.

Great app. I have started to learn to play the piano by trying different apps, and pianomarvel is certainly the app that worked for me. It is not very gamified but allows steady progress. Besides Methods and Technique sections it also has a big library with a lot of music including full content from books like Alfred. I have been practicing using PianoMarvel for about a year, and I am very happy with my progress.

Google sign in and app stopped working after latest update

I have put in a support request up to a week ago on their website, no one has bothered getting back to me to resolve the issue. I find it very annoying that after paying for a whole year upfront that technical support would not be bothered to respond to my email. I gave all my details as requested on the support form. I recommend that this app only be used with a free account. You may have a semi functional app if you make the mistake of subscribing

PM definitely deserves to be higher up in the app list, in my opinion it’s better than flowkey, skoove and simply piano
