PicMonkey Photo + Video Design

As of now, September 14th, 2021, all this app does is crash after a few minutes. If you’re trying to design something in the BG remover section, the shapes you cut out won’t even be in the center of the screen. You’ll actually have to manually move it there so if you’re not accurate, you’re shape will be slightly off centered. In the same section, the invert feature doesn’t even work. Instead of turning the clear portions black and the design or words used clear, it just becomes a clear blank canvas. If you try to add an image to a background you’ve created or just a plain background, the image won’t even upload to the center of the screen. You have to manually move it yourself. While all this is happening, you’ll be lucky if you get that far before the app completely crashes. I emailed them and they did their very best to try to shift the blame into me. I made them a video of the issues in my reply to which I’ve not gotten a response yet but I’m pretty sure, rather than fixing their app, they’ll try to act like there’s something wrong on my end. I use a perfectly stable internet connection with super fast WiFi and download speeds, my devices that I use are all 128g iPhone or iPad. I have 50g of storage which isn’t even close to being used and I’ve signed out, cleared everything I could even deleted and reinstalled the app… Nothing. The same issues. When greed and laziness take over, quality control goes right out the window. I’m sure if/when I get a reply, they’ll try to blame me for something. Or blame it on iOS, lol. These app developers have their heads so far up their ***es they can’t even accept that there’s a functionality issue with their app. The arrogance of it is amazing… There are far better apps to use, everyone. A simple google search will show you better apps. UPDATE/RESPONSE TO DEVs: Your, “DEVs?” Need to put the bongs down and actually check the app. The invert feature doesn’t work, the photos or words aren’t even centered, when you’re cutting out a shape, the shape isn’t even centered either. It’s not my device’s fault, not my internet’s fault, not my fault or anyone else’s fault. You idiots need to start taking responsibility for your f*ck ups. Since the last update it’s also become harder to move things around and now the lines around images is some thick blue line. You guys really know how to destroy a good thing. It’s amazing how you expect people to pay for this crap.

The iOS app offers about 1/6 of the functionality of the browser app. The in-app editing process is unintuitive and really miserable to use. I would use the browser version on iPad, but PicMonkey has chosen to block all editing functionality in that regard. VERY disappointing.

I only have this 5 stars because that’s all they ever want you to see, I was instructed to use PicMonkey for a project and every time I try to use certain features the app just restarts and when I go back to my project it’s either blank or has a little of what I was working on. I have been trying to make a vision board for 4 days now and it KEEPS happening I was almost done when the app crashed after an HOUR of work, plus they want you to pay for everything. You can’t even save to a dashboard within the app or save drafts to save your work. HORRIBLE use canva instead. This app needs to be updated or deleted, I vote for the latter. If I could give zero stars I would.

Are you kidding me. Why does it just freeze then I have to lose all my work and go through this cycle 500,000,000 TIMES?!! FIX YOUR SYSTEM.

Came back to look over past saves and import and do minor edits on a new project and could not for the life of me navigate or find any of tools with ease. Very complicated to understand what I am doing and it is pay for this or subscribe to that! To which I have paid for to utilize enhanced features at many periods and I do utilize the free edition as well. But it’s like I stepped into a totally different atmosphere after being away for not that very long and sadly it is just something I cannot adjust to it seems.

I’ve used the app for years. But I’m pretty sure I won’t be anymore. I realize it may be a security thing, but I’m over having to go sign into my email after I’ve already tried to sign in / click on your app. All to be told to “Go Back and check my email for the Stupid MagiKal Link to get signed in” Again it’s dumb. I won’t renew subscription. There are plenty of other apps I can subscribe to that don’t require you to sign into other Apps, Emails, or programs to sign in to use their app that I Pay For - ugh!
