Pit Boss Grills

Could be better, generally does what it is supposed to until you try and use it in the shop. Going to the UK shop renders the app useless, freezes with the now all too often seen flames 🔥 of doom. Once this is fixed, then all will be good. Connection via Bluetooth is generally good with good range to keep an eye on the cook from the sofa but messages can be sporadic.

Hi. Why this app is not available in other stores, while the old app was available in other stores??

First ever review. Can’t even connect to smoker Worst app ever. Would give 0 stars if possible. Going to sell or throw away smoker and go to traeger or anything else. Pathetic why won’t they fix this ???????

This app is terrible!!! It will not stay connected to Bluetooth and will not connect to Wi-Fi. The previous Smoke It app worked just fine. So now I paid a lot of money for functions that are not usable.

I had high hopes for my first electric smoker, but the performance of the app and wireless connection to my smoker has made for an incredibly frustrating experience. The wireless connection via Bluetooth and WiFi are unreliable. More frequently than not, the app fails to connect to the smoker. This results in the inability to remotely monitor and control the smoker. The app fails to save favorite recipes. I have favorites three separate recipes multiple times, but none of them are present when I navigate to me favorited recipes. Due to the poor reliability of the wireless connection and poor experience when using the app, I felt compelled to provide this critical review with hopes that the development team recognizes the issues customers are experiencing and fixes them.

Won’t even connect from 20ft away. Absolute garbage.

Like most everyone else, the app only works in close proximity to the grill. Cooking graph is inoperative, WiFi doesn’t connect. Obviously the app update for ‘bug’ fixes didn’t fix anything. When I first ran the grill last year and used the app, everything connected and everything worked. Looks like the app company needs to hire some qualified professionals to write apps.

This app is the biggest dumpster fire I have ever seen! None of it works! None of it! Straight garbage, don’t waste your time. The old SMOKE IT app actually worked well most of the time. Why are the people at pit boss such idiots?!

So my wife and kids got me a pit boss pro series for Father’s Day and I was super stoked!! I really wanted this grill, especially due to the fact that you can control it via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth so basically you can be away from the grill and still cook. I have used this app approximately 6 to 7 times. It has a few glitches but overall it’s a great app. As a first timer, this app really helps me achieve the results that I’m looking for in my cooks. Great job Dansons!!! keep up the good work and hopefully once the little bugs get worked out, this app will be amazing!!!
