Great intuitive pixel art app
I’ve tried multiple apps on iPad for pixel art, and this is by far my favourite purely by how user friendly it is to use. Especially if you’re used to procreate and aseprite.
Ja, Pixquare ist kostenlos herunterzuladen, enthält jedoch In-App-Käufe oder Abonnements.
✅ Die Pixquare-App scheint von hoher Qualität und legitim zu sein. Die Nutzer sind sehr zufrieden.

I’ve tried multiple apps on iPad for pixel art, and this is by far my favourite purely by how user friendly it is to use. Especially if you’re used to procreate and aseprite.
I used aseprite on my computer, but missed the input that a pencil can give on an iPad where u can draw where you press. When I found this app and read that it was inspired from Aseprite I was interested and after using it for a while and found all the super useful tools, I wanted to buy it, but suspected a subscription and to my surprise this wasn’t the case! Just one time payment for a lifetime of use for a really nice price. The app is amazing to use with all the options that you normally miss with other apps in the genre and if you just start with pixelart or are an advanced artist, I fully recommend Pixquare!
The pros are that the basic tools are generally intuitive and the UI is fairly well laid out. Some standard shortcuts from other creative apps are also used here so it feels intuitive to use. I couldn’t get too far into evaluating it though as it constantly froze up on me (M1 IPad Pro) just doing simple stuff like switching between menus. If I could get beyond the technical issues my one big issue would be the tilemap functionality. It isn’t intuitive at all even after reading the documentation. Gave up after the fourth freeze and not being able to simply define a 4x4 tilemap of 8x8 tiles that I can draw on
Im just learning but it’s a very intuitive app! A feature I’d love to see is being able to open reference images in a little window that are too big to add to the canvas.
Really enjoying it! Perfectly fleshed out, UI has a little learning curve but it’s very easy to learn, and I love how it feels.
This app is amazing I am blown away by how much it has to offer and how easy it is to use. I am looking forward to creating some awesome art with this app!
the interface is super intuitive but not overly complicated, so it’s been perfect for me I’ve begun learning how to make pixel art. Try the free version and see if you like it, this app has been worth the money I spent on it.
Don’t look anywhere else for a pixel art app. Gorgeous themes for an intuitive UI is only the cherry on top. Lifetime purchaser
I was gonna wait a while before reviewing, but I just discovered that you can get to the palette using the pencil pro squeeze. So awesome! Anyway, this app is great, get it. The only thing missing (I think) that I’d like is - when hovering with the pencil pro, I’d like to see the unadded pixel in the preview, so I can look before I add it. Maybe I just haven’t found how to turn that on. Update for dev: Thanks so much for responding! Yeah, I can see the hover highlight on the canvas, but I don’t see the unadded pixel in the PREVIEW window. So the pattern is hover, add pixel, look at preview, undo — over and over — instead of hover, look at preview, then only add a pixel when I like how it looks in the preview. Still love the app - this is really the only feature I feel is missing. Big time saver! Update again: you fixed it! Thanks so much! I’d give 10 stars if I could. If you’re looking for more to do, I noticed that the fill/bucket tool doesn’t work with the “transparent” color. Also there is no hover color for transparent - might be neat to have the outline back for that. That’s all I’ve got - still love the app! I can’t believe how fast you fixed the other thing.
This has to be one of the best pixel art apps on the App Store in my opinion! This is the closest you will get to Aseprite on iOS. I look forward to future updates and improvements :)
