Planta: Complete Plant Care

There doesn’t seem to be a way to tell the app that it’s rained and to mark all Plants watered. You can go into each plant, but it would be nice to be able to manually update the incorrect weather.

Rarely gets the harder plants correct. Hit and miss on others. I’ve tried different places, but it’s very unsuccessful at identifying certain species.

I’ve been using Planta for over 3 years now. The one thing I wish it would consider is 2nd story windows. For instance, I have a plant in the center of my house so it’s far from windows. However it gets direct sun when the sun is in the back of the house and lots of light when the sun has moved to the front because my 2nd story windows bring in lots of sun. I have used a light meter there but it reverts back to distance from windows.

If the only reminder that you need is when to water your plants it is a ok FREE APP. Otherwise, any actions even fertilizing requires premium. Even suggestions of the plants are available only for PREMIUM USERS. I scheduled my fertilizing, changing pots etc etc with ChatGPT and it works great.

I have contacted Support several times about this app does not reset itself. For example, Planta says it is time to water a plant but when I check the soil, the plant isn’t dry yet. So I snooze watering for 4 days. Sure enough I water it 4 days later and check it off. Well the timer for watering doesn’t reset itself from when I watered last; it is still on its original timer. This has happened a number of times so that a plant that requires watering every 6 weeks is now being watered every 4 weeks. I have been complaining about this for a year and it is still not fixed. If I water when it tells me, I will overwater my plants. This app is almost useless to me now because both the watering and misting schedules are so far off.

Planta is no different from any free plant app, and it costed $36 for a year! Rip off. It doesn’t diagnose the problem based on a picture; it gives you a list of possible things that could go wrong, so you can choose. A basic internet search is all you need for that.

This app is incredible. So helpful! I’ve been using it for four years. Before I had this app it was so much harder to keep my plants alive, but since having it my plants have thrived!

Was pretty disappointed to find nearly every feature is behind a paywall that you are hit with as soon as you get started. Decided to upgrade and was more disappointed to find it couldn’t identify a single plant, including basic things like a pothos against a white background. Tried with several plants and got the same error each time. Just felt lackluster off the bat.

I love this app but I feel like it sends me like notifications a little bit too often and the plants that I have on this app aren’t that needy but I love the app
