Plex Photos

Use the main Plex app for the time being. Libraries won’t load and there is next to little you can do to troubleshoot. Like everyone else is saying, it’s so barebones that the Plex app is more robust than this app.

Timeline doesn’t work, just loads forever

I installed this app soon after it was released but within days, it wouldn’t show my library, the switch profile and log off options don’t do anything and typically, the app just freezes. Stick with the photos in the main plex app. It works and has more functions. Hopefully, this gets much improved in the coming months.

I have plex android and iPad on my kitchen counter. I auto play all my photos with plex web. I’d much rather auto play my photos with plex photos, but it doesn’t have an auto play feature. It pretends to, but it doesn’t. Please ADD the auto play of photos to this plex photos app for both Android and iPad!

It does nothing any better than the main Plex app and actually was a bit laggy. No thanks, I'll stick with the main Plex app.

We want slideshow with shuffle and duration options across multiple folders and include sub folders.

No point to using this app unless they add the ability to upload photos from mobile devices to a server automatically. I remember when Plex had that function. So nice to have a local archive in addition to my cloud back up to onedrive.

This app is garbage it only pulls in your media server photos but those are not uploaded yet. You all had an app that worked. You going backwards.

When they announced this app, I was expecting more frequent updates but it’s just a photo browser. No upload capability at all. It’s like they put it out and then forgot about it. It’s just an excuse for their new “plex experience” redesign they are working on to get rid of all these other use cases.

Add the ability to sync photos between iOS and your plex media server.
