Pointer Remote for PowerPoint and Keynote

This app requires you to download a Pointer server to be installed on your computer. The connection, using wifi between iPhone and the server is very slow resulting in haphazard and delayed response. Sometimes advancing slide button just does not work. For a productivity app this is a total waste of time and money. Better stick to the Keynote Remote from Apple.

1) it needs to be able to operate on Windows, otherwise it's quite limiting 2) it could afford to be more aesthetically pleasing. hopefully future updates will change this up

I'm pleasantly surprised at the functions of this software. No frills presentation may be deceiving, but is packed full of functions and clearly quite some thought has gone in to implementation. The screenshot doesn't begin to capture what this is capable of. It not only lets you control the movement of your slides far from your Macbook, but it features remote pointer and cursor control, replacing that laser pointer as well. Sensitivity its not perfect, but its still very usable. Also displays small slide previews and/or slide notes which are incredibly helpful to the presenter. Suggestions for improvement: While the cursor mode can be used to activate video and audio elements in presentations, the cursor needs to be 'revealed' on the Mac first. If the cursor arrow is hidden in the presentation(as is the powerpoint 08 default), the cursor will not appear with input from the iPhone app. It needs to be 'revealed' by moving the mouse on the Macbook, then it can be used. Otherwise, ease of setup and use, extremely good features and low price make this an essential software for presenters, deserving of a solid recommendation.

Nice little app, allows for cool presentations; setup with new Network/firewall configuration IMHO a bit tricky. Overall well worthwhile the money.

Nice little App, which works very well. Setup is easy, the interface functional! Only the design could use some improvement to be more appealing.
