One small change would fix everything
Popit has a great UI and generally is simple to use. The user experience flow has one major oversight: you can’t go back and edit a day. I like to hit “snooze” on the reminders a couple times, but then will forgot to check the pill as taken when I do get up to finally take it. Then, if even a couple hours go by, you’re forever unable to mark the dose as actually taken on-time (or at all, for that matter). Really quite frustrating. Maybe this app is intended for accountability, but this is a very poor approach if so: I’d just smack the “Mark as Taken” button the moment the alert fires and have perfect attendance and zero pills actually taken. This probably has to do with the auto-detection in their hardware component, but that’s also just an excuse if so: let users decide during setup or default to “editable” mode if we don’t have the hardware attached. Overall, this will lower adherence for me. Adherence issues come up for many reasons, but chief among them is forgetfulness. That means forgetfulness in to places when you have a tracking app.
