Potion Explosion

This is the best way to play this game, IMHO. Ease of play and thematic flourishes make me want to play regularly. A recent update finally made the game playable, if you can be patient when the game crashes. And it will. For example, when you use the potion of magnetic attraction. Developers-Please fix the many bugs that cause multiple crashes every game and make this a five star app.

When you re-load a face to face game your scores will have changed. Very frustrating. I’m currently playing a turn based game on line. It saved a number of rounds successfully but the last time I logged in the game took my turn for me! Since there is no reset option, this is unsatisfactory. Further, I can’t seem to set up an online game for more than two players. Developers- help?

I loved this game but can’t give it a higher rating because it no longer works on iPad mini - which is the platform I’ve always owned it on. We took it away on holiday so that we could play offline mode and the backgrounds and flasks don’t load with the game crashing after approximately 1 turn. We somewhere local with WiFi so deleted and re installed the game but it’s exactly the same. Loaded it onto my daughter normal sized iPad and it works no problem at. Such a shame.

I have only given 1 star as I cannot give 0. I have been using Potion Explosion for a long time now, having paid for the app and paid again for the upgrade. The app now will not open at all. It will also not open for the friends and family I usually play the game with. Nothing at all in AppStore or online to explain what the problem is or that it’s being worked on. Very disappointing!

Fun game with some challenging, albeit a little luck dependant, puzzling in the form of matching. Recently bought the expansion though, and with the introduction of the 'wild' colours, it eventually dulls down to just picking the same lane over and over again, as wilds gets prioitised, it eventually leads to Wild's getting used, and they fill back up the only empty lane; that being the one that was JUST picked. And becuase it's now full of wilds, it's get picked again... and again, and again. Other than that oversight though, a good game.

Brilliant game at a great price I’m sure the expansion pack will give it more depth but there is still a great game without it. No bugs at all. And it’s good that the AI is hard cos lets be honest there isn’t always people to play online with and the last thing you want is an AI that’s easy to beat. I have mixed opinions on asdomee some of there apps work perfectly some are glitchy and crash so this is not a bias review, it’s a honest one.

It’s a badly executed game with no real intuitive gameplay and seemingly random and indistinguishable icons popping around continually. It’s just not great. I’ve deleted it

Despite an aesthetically pleasing implementation of the board game, and engaging gameplay (which has made me want to get the physical version) this app suffers from very weak AI which makes it hard to recommend if you plan to play it solo. Previous reviews mention a too tough AI and one of the updates mentions altering the AI so I wonder if the developers have gone too far the other way in trying to fix it. There seems to be no difference between the three levels of AI and apart from narrowly losing my second game I haven’t lost since after numerous subsequent plays (and believe me I am no board game genius lol). It’s a real shame as everything else is in place for a great little app. Would be great to think the developers might have a second crack at fixing the AI.

How hard is it to start a game? Very! It seems I can’t even play the basic game without buying some professors. Ridiculous.

This is a really cool version of the original board game. But the A.I difficulty has no variation. Easy is too difficult. Medium is too difficult. Hard is, you guessed it, too difficult. This must be an easy fix, surely?
