Like most apps I have used on Apple devices this one gets the ball to the ten yard line and falls short of ever getting the job done. The android version works much faster and better. This version looses the data every time the screen locks and is very slow about reloading the data. Also some data is not available here. Every engine’s data from at least 1995 should be able to obtained in short order to live up to the level of service we expect.
This is an absolutely outstanding resource for a Technician
One of the biggest struggles is finding either the correct CTM manual for use with diagnostics or the correct part based on build codes. This app solves both those problems as well as providing additional diagnostic resource information. The direct link to the correct parts book along with the as ordered build codes makes getting the correct part a synch.
As others have stated this app does not support the Yanmar engines. In my opinion that is to be expected as Yanmar should offer a similar app for their own engines.
Just terrible
You have to include all power plants in the database. If you are going to sell replacement parts from John Deere I can use in my tractor, than you need to include them in this app.
You can’t tell me to contact Yanmar...JD used a BUNCH of these motors in their tractors and has no problem selling replacement parts for them.
Doesn’t work, says my vin number isn’t real.
App doesn’t recognize serial numbers, is useless.
Junk
Why release an app that's this useless? Was there no testing? This deserves no stars.
Useless
If you're going to make an App make sure your entire database infrastructure contains your customer's serial numbers including those you have installed in the tractors you sell regardless of who manufacturers them. If it says John Deere it's a John Deere not a Yanmar!
2017 2038R Isn't In Database?
Spend that kind of money on a tractor and according to the app, the serial number is not valid. If your going to release an app, at least have a user friendly error pop up that recognizes the model number within the serial number and says something like 'we are constantly updating our serial number database, please check back'. Instead, it makes you feel like the tractor is stolen. I had high hopes for this app.
App problems
Whatever was done with the current update needs to be undone. The scanner for the serial number doesn't work and also when you manually enter it, it still does nothing
Frustrated
Well besides that the scan or manual entry didn't register the big diesel sitting 6' below me, it also ate my review the first time.
When it is bad, it stays bad.
Steve
Great idea...... If it worked
Tried both JD tractors I have and neither the scan or the manual search brings up any information.
It is easier going to one of the many online dealers and using their parts search.
