“Practice Reading Thai with Charlie and Chiva” is a storybook that the main characters are introduced to create a series of entertaining stories. Children enjoy and have fun with reading as the stories run continuously and engagingly making them curious to know more what will happen next where it greatly helps stimulate their reading.
In the storybook of “Practice Reading Thai with Charlie and Chiva, Episode Vowel Fun”, children will learn how to combine consonants with 28 Thai vowel sounds (except ฤ /rúe/, ฤๅ /rue/, ฦ /lúe/ and ฦๅ /lue) as well as learning words and their meaning from the text and illustrations in the stories. It also helps develop children’s ideas and encourage their imagination.

Children practice reading words with a combination of the following vowels: อะ /a/, อา /aa/, อิ /i/, อี /ee/, อึ /ue/, อือ /ur, อุ /u/ and อู /uu/. They practice reading words composed of consonants and these vowels only.

Children practice reading words with a combination of the following vowels: เอะ /e/, เอ /ay/, แอะ /ae/, แอ /aer/, โอะ /o/, โอ /oh, เอาะ /aw/, ออ /or/, เออะ /oe/ and เออ, /er/. They practice reading these vowels combined with consonants. The words composed of consonants and vowels from Part 1 are also included.

Children practice reading words with a combination of the following vowels: เอียะ /ia/, เอีย /ear/, เอือะ /uea/, เอือ /eua/, อัวะ /ua/, อัว /uar, อำ /am/, ใอ /ai/, ไอ /ai/, เอา, /ao/. They practice reading these vowels combined with consonants. The words composed of consonants and vowels from Part 1 and Part 2 are also included.
Moreover, each part includes the reading practice of: the spelling of consonants and vowels, the vocabulary from the story and the new words invented from the combination of consonants and vowels; plus illustrations. These help children learn more about the words with vowel combination on that part.
