Press Coffee

I really like this app. Great design etc. I like how it is farm focused. Consumers need to be more farm rather than roaster focused (less beading bias). I do however wish there was a strong social feature like 'Untapped.' It's a beer app that I use to track and rate beers I've tried. Really fun/unpretentious/user friendly app. A similar coffee app would be glorious. Roasters could upload coffee's and users could rate/track them etc. Could create good feedback for roasters/farmers from consumers. Except keep the farm focus strong - I like that. Great work on this app!

This app is an empty notebook. Like a press without coffee, it's just a bunch of air. Someday, maybe they'll connect users; a Strava for coffee, help you discover new beans, contrast with others' experience, share recipes. This is not that. It's an awkward log book, with a few coffee-centric fields. Another thing to fiddle with when you're trying to make a nice cup. It won't help, it'll just get your phone wet. P.S. Home menu design is really annoying. Just use a tab bar!

This app used to be absolutely perfect for its intended task. Now the app crashes at least twice on launch before successfully launching. You can’t edit or create new timing recipes. If you delete and reinstall to try to resolve, you’ll lose all of your custom timers because iCloud sync is busted. The problems seem to arise from iOS 15, no shade to the developer if that’s the case, but he also doesn’t answer support emails anymore. Don’t buy the app, it simply doesn’t work anymore.

This is a great idea but they fail to execute. The photo app has never worked and crashes the site, instead. They lack a search function of the more popular roasts. They have little functionality for analyzing your brewing data over time, which would greatly improve this. I was previously using Apple Notes to keep my notes in brews and the limited added value of this over Notes doesn’t justify the price. I encourage them to improve the app and wish them luck. The idea is good.

Was excited to start tracking my coffee with this app. First session I tried to log a coffee, got all the info added then went to add a photo.. app crashed and I lost everything I entered. Like the concept but if you lose my data I’m done.

I’ve looked high and wide for a comparable app, it doesn’t seem to exist. The notes section allows for Coffee Name, Roaster, Producer, Farm, Region and Country. (Even shows you on a map). You can add custom images, ratings and notes. Why hasn’t anyone else figured this out. Press you are above and beyond the best! And thank you for that.

There's not a link in the app to contact the developer, so I have to post this here. The resources tab, containing links with information related to brewing techniques and other things, no longer works. The app displays various visual glitches upon opening. Was an interesting app, even if it wasn't worth the asking price. But now, avoid.

My search for notable craft coffee continues, but the search for the app to document the journey is complete. It has all of the features I hoped to find and more. The interface is intuitive and snappy which makes it very practical to use. Fantastic job!

This app is so underrated, and should be on every coffee lovers phone. I love the ease at which to add my own recipes, and use the ones that are prebuilt with it.

Love the app. Would like to see more recipes and an easier way to find them. Glad you dropped support for iOS 8.
