Procast Podcast App - Podcasts

This app is AMAZING. I use it all the time. It does the job that a podcast app should and it’s easy to use. I love this app so much and I suggest you download it if you haven’t already!!!!!!

Great podcast player, very clear audio and relatively easy to use. It does need a 1.75 speed option.

So far, when this app works it's great but I can't always get it to work. I want to make clips of podcasts and I was able to do it for a few times. Now it just isn't working for that. And when I try to read the FAQs or the Advanced Tutorial, I get a message saying THIS PAGE IS NOT SECURE, IT MAY BE IMPERSONATING.... and says to close the page. PLEASE FIX THAT SO I CAN USE IT AGAIN!!! Or contact me - there's no way to ask for help as far as I can see.

“Procast would like to send you notifications” constant popups when not even using the app. Crashes constantly with CarPlay. “Become a podcast supporter” Constant crashes. Keeps unpausing podcasts.

This app takes the best parts of Castro (inbox/queue episode management) and The Podcast App (preview cards) and combines them. It's more visually pleasing than Castro and the UX isn't as busy as The Podcast App. A really well designed app, and it's free to boot.

I’d been using Overcast as my podcatcher since 2016. However, over time development of Overcast stagnated and some real annoyances emerged (namely, some video podcasts do not work at all). Happily Procast is fresh, under active development, and handles all my video podcasts with no problems!

This is one of the better podcast apps. I don’t need a ton of fluff or to pay a subscription to an application that is running natively on my device to download already free content. I wouldn’t mind just buying an app to do it but the trend that some crack head devs are going in by charging sub fees for not even providing a service is too crazy. This app is just a hair above complete basic. It has play lists and a good set of options but doesn’t take those options over the top.

I’ve tried many and Procast is the best. It has a good balance of features and ease of use, and the developer is actively involved. I’d pay a subscription, it’s that good.

I’ve been waiting for an app to organize my Podcasts and Procast knows what they’re doing! Exactly what I was looking for when it comes to saving and playing your podcasts.
