I really enjoy using this app it’s made going back to school way easier. I like getting promoted when I’m dialed in studying and demoted when I decide to slack off. This app has helped keep me honest. I can’t wait to see this app on more platforms
This app has helped me not be a slacker.
I’m a long-time user of this app and i just switched from Android to iPhone. There are some small differences in this app between the two versions that drive me nuts. If these get fixed then i’m putting my review to 5 stars. 1. I made a backup on my Android phone and restored it on my new iPhone. I have about 3 years of history in the backup. If I go into “Stats” and select “all-time stats” the whole app locks up and it takes forever to load. When I did this on Android, it wasn’t this slow and did not lock up the UI. 2. The iPhone rotary selector drives me absolutely crazy. I want the option to just see a simple list view when selecting a project to work on. Being a long time user, I have a lot of projects and I really miss the full-screen list menu that the Android version has. the rotary selector is too small and it’s hard to see my active projects. 3. under settings, the default time has a minimum of 10 minutes on iPhone. I really miss the minimum of 5 minutes that Android version offers. if these three things get remediated, I’ll put my review to 5 stars. Big fan of this app!
App is great. Simple enough to prevent me from toying with it unnecessarily. I would like to see the option to notify before a session ends (i.e., alarm when one minute is remaining in session) so I can better use the overtime function. Otherwise great.
Absolutely amazing for habitual procrastinators like me.
I've used this app for more than a year and I love it.
First pomodoro app that I’ve stuck with for more than a few days. I find myself eager to get back to work to keep my promotions and increase my daily averages. Definitely recommend this app for people with ADHD who struggle to focus and get started with work tasks.
Disclaimer: everybody's work habits are different, so this is just my experience. This app was a game changer for me! I used pomodoro sessions in the past and they were certainly helpful, but this app went above and beyond. The ranking system really gives you the incentive to keep your nose to the grindstone by making you compete with yourself. Seeing my rank drop on an off day made me want to work that much harder to regain my rank. BUT, at the same time, the knowledge that I could regain that rank helped me forgive myself if I slipped up. My only recommendation: more ranks and more achievements!!! I need the dopamine hits!
The simple gamified approach is incredibly motivating, and the app is extremely reliable—I used it for several years on Android and bought it again when I switched to iOS over five years ago, and it’s been glitch-free on both platforms. Sadly, it’s very hard to find—despite its high ranking among users, it doesn’t show up in a search for “pomodoro timers,” and in a search for “productivity timer” it was way down in the list and until I opened it, it showed only the icon and the name, not the screen previews as every other app does. I hope the dev can do some SEO for the App Store. A lot more people would be using this if they knew about it.
