Prompt+ is a professional teleprompter app that helps you present with confidence.
Simply read your script as it scrolls up the screen.
Prompt+ can be used with the Zoom Video Conferencing app in multitasking mode on compatible iPad devices. Overlay your script on a Zoom call and read your script as it scrolls next to the camera. You will present with confidence and engage your audience with excellent eye contact.
It's free for scripts of up to 750 characters and works across all iOS devices. For longer scripts, there is a one-off in-app purchase. This app does NOT require a monthly or annual subscription.
* Scroll the teleprompter using voice recognition (iOS 13+) or speed control.
* Mirror your text for use in a physical teleprompter device.
* Display a clock to help you stick to time.
* Import your scripts from Dropbox, Google Drive, iCloud or OneDrive in .doc, .docx, .txt, .rtf or .pdf format.
* Add Rich Text formatting to make them easier to read.

* Adjust the font size, colours, text alignment, and width of the text area.
* Control the script remotely using a Bluetooth presentation control, foot pedal, games controller, external keyboard or even another Mac or iOS device.

2 small flaws
Very useful software 2 things to improve
1. No way to tell it that keep voice tracking text in the middle of the screen, that’s where the camera is. If not allow us to set that top point above which it won’t go voice cursor won’t go
2. Every time loading a script is just so difficult, I prefer updating in the fly and on my windows machine…
Other features works as advertised, no complains

Voice activation is a disaster
I really wanted this to work but unfortunately, every time I used it, it would scroll several pages down during my presentation
The developer kept promising an update, but that was two months ago
So far so good
After some initial difficulty, the app now seems to be working fine
Does just what I need!
I love the voice tracking feature and that it works with Dropbox. I think it’s worth the purchase.
Finally - a prompter app that works
I have tried a lot of prompter apps and they usually are difficult to use or they don’t work well with remotes. This one works, is priced reasonably and is easy to use.
I use an iPhone as a controller with an iPad as a display. It’s easy to paste copy in from most sources. Plus, changing the size of the font and margins is intuitive and simple.
I find an iPhone works well as a controller if you have a common Wi-Fi connection with an iPad. if you are in the field, you can use someone’s personal hotspot on their phone as a common Wi-Fi connection. Bluetooth is, unfortunately, unreliable in the field, and that is my only complaint about this app. I don’t take any stars off for that part, though, because Bluetooth has its own quirks.
I have used this as a prompter for national celebrities and they say it’s as good as a studio prompter. Plus the price is reasonable. This is one prompter app I can recommend.
Jumps around…
Got 2 ipads one as remote and the other one as display… the remote control feature jumps around and doesn’t connect well even at decent distances. The voice tracker is glitchy at best. Would not recommend.
Remote is the best I’ve seen
When using a tablet as a promoter I like to have a phone as the remote. This is the app I’ve found that has got it right. The script I see in the phone (remote) is EXACTLY the same as what’s on the promoter (tablet).
I also appreciate the OneDrive integration.
Keeps Freezing!
The beauty behind using this app was that I can use my phone as a remote to control my iPad that’s attached to the teleprompter… but over the last two weeks it keeps getting hung up. If I scroll using my phone, the iPad gets hung up and then becomes choppy as it struggles to catch up to the point I scrolled to on my phone. This didn’t used to happen. Even after a restart. How do I fix this?
Needs margins
Some prompter apps allow you to have left aligned text with custom margins, as it is the industry standard way to read teleprompter for talent in English. In this app, you need centered text if you want margins on both sides of text, which is super awkward. I imagine this should be an easy fix… Reluctant to recommend due to this glaring flaw.
Otherwise, control options like separate iOS device are very intuitive. Haven’t tried my foot pedal yet.
Also had some trouble finding settings. Odd user interface choice to have that appear under the “?” Would appreciate folders for scripts so it can be more organized. Would love if color/font pasted in properly formatted so all word processing work could be done in other software that specializes in this. My workflow relies on tools like Google Docs for collaboration and having to redo things in here is a pain.
Margins getting added would give this a 4/5 value. If those other things get fixed/added, it’s a 5/5 value. It’s simple and stable, which is my main criteria.
