Welp, this was a disappointment.
When I heard there was a new app, I thought “Oh cool, maybe they’ve updated it to make it more user friendly, more customisable, maybe a few new tools”. Nope.
The app UI itself is much less… attractive. It’s scaled back and feels very lacklustre. The previous app showed a photo of your property with its card - something they’ve removed here. While the desktop version remains superior in every way, they’ve kneecapped themselves with the mobile version with this app. Every time I go into it now, I think “Oof”.
Hopefully the devs update it and bring it more in line with the previous app and simply make it more engaging. Until then, I think I’ll stick for the desktop version.
Backwards Step?
The old app allowed me to collate rentals inside one account number or head property. Now the new app only lets me see each individual unit and not the overall property picture.
Payments
Would be better if you actually took the money straight away when we make payments. I miss when my rent would get to the real estate the moment I paid it instead of a week later 😑
Monthly payments
You can’t nominate a date each month for money to be taken from account for rent on app.
Only one bank account to attach
This app only allows one bank account at a time to be stored. I have more than one bank account I use,
and the process of switching accounts on there is not instant- therefore inconvenient. I would recommend being able to attach more than one bank account to use when making payments. Aside from that, I like using it.
Not working
Can see my property using a internet browser but can’t see my property on the app
Suggested functionality
This app has made dealing with a property manager a lot easier but I would love to see some more functionality added to it. Specifically a ‘workflow’ type function for maintenance requests that the appropriate parties can see and respond to through the app. For example, we had an issue with our air conditioning before Christmas and, once communication is off the app, many delays ensued which resulted in the appropriate part not even being ordered until 12 days after it stopped working. In this day and age of potential instant communication, that was insanely inefficient and unnecessary (not to mention frustrating during a summer heatwave!). If the technician received the notice through the app and then the owner could approve repairs etc. all those delays could have been avoided. Anyway, just a suggestion for future updates.
Confusing
Confusing
Poor quality control
Property me took three weeks rent from my account in one week they hold this money for three days so agent could not refund the mistake. This happened to hundreds of people and property me is blaming the Optus outage. I would not use this app at all if my agent did not insist all rent be paid through them.
I would not recommend
Not user friendly at Login stage
Hi,
Need help. APP is installed however, system isn’t working at Login so I’m unable to gain access having forgotten my password. System isn’t sending me the email link required to reset my password and doesn’t have a pop up to select an option for ‘RESEND’ either.
What can I do next? Thanks
Margaret
