Cleaning Schedule: BeTidy

It helps me stay on track and feel accomplished with my day to day. Working from home can make you lose the motivation to get things done but this app rekindles the urge to reach daily goals and the joy in small accomplishments.

My wife and I have been struggling with organizing chores around the house. She’s neurodivergent and has a hard time conceptualizing what needs done, when it needs done, and in what order. This app has been helpful (so far-only been using it about a week) with helping her both see the chores that are her responsibility and see when they need to be done with feeling like I’m nagging her about it. Plus, the pro version has additional features that make it even more helpful (task rotation for family members, assigning days of the week, etc.) that make it really easy to manage everything without too much mental load.

Late diagnosed with adhd and I have an extremely hard time remembering to do simple tasks because I get sucked into other tasks and hyperfocus. This app has allowed me to receive reminders on daily tasks I need to do to help keep up with household tasks, and organize them in a way that works for me. I’ve also set my children up with tasks and reminders to help remind them of the chores they need to do. It takes a lot of my plate.

New favorite app!

I just started using the app after letting my housekeepers go (great job but many broken items!) I’ve always been a list type person so I thought I’d try it. At least I’d keep breakage to a minimum! I love it as I can check off each task; schedule things not all for one day, and actually live in a tidy home while accomplishing several minor tasks daily. Being retired, it’s really easy. Thanks for a great app!

I have been evaluating a variety of home management tools to help me stay on top of all my home tasks. As an ADHDer I often find all the little details so overwhelming. It’s nice to be able to put in things like “changing air filters” which is only twice a year but know it will appear when needed. What this app has that the others don’t however, is the ability to create organization or home improvement projects right along side your chores to manage everything in one place. My suggestions on the user experience side though are to allow the completion of tasks with a swipe. Some of the other apps have this and it is so much more satisfying than a bunch of clicks. Also please work on a widget! I live by my wigets, it’s an ADHD thing. Out of sight out of mind, so having something more up front is important to me. Lastly, onboarding. When I added all my tasks for the first time for my house (over 100) they were all due today by default! I didn’t know how to sort through all that data or where to start. It almost made me quit Immeadiately. Remember ADHD overwhelm here. I figured out to go redo all the start dates but that took another hour and a half.

I’m someone that can not make lists in my head and keep up with my daily tasks. So this app helps keep myself accountable for everything I need to get done. Also, to have a places I can plan projects and tasks ahead of time is great. This helps with my ADHD scrabbled brain so much.
