Trashed Device & Removed App

Things went fine for 2 years until they REQUIRED my email address. So I threw the BP cuff in the trash and deleted the app. Screw You Cardio.

Remarks on the cuff

Works great! Like the way the data is stored and easy to review. Easy to travel with since it is so compact and takes up little space. One star rating is for customer support. I ordered a cardiobase 2 in November 2024 and paid for it, but still have not received it nor any responses to phone calls or emails to the company!

Don’t buy this

My $100 blood pressure monitor is a worthless piece of garbage now. The app is not working at all, and you have to have the app to turn on the bp monitor. No way to contact them either. Iv’e read from other users that Qardio is going through bankruptcy. I spent money on the blood pressure monitor and their digital scale to keep track of my numbers. I can’t even turn it on to see the “saved” info. 🤬

It’s OK

It would be better if it supported the common iOS action of swiping left to right to navigate back.

Inaccurate bp color indicator

Unfortunately, it says my bp is “optimal” even when as low as 67/51. The World Health Organization says a blood pressure below 90/60 millimeters of mercury (mmHg) is clinically defined as hypotension (low blood pressure). I would like to see a different color indicator (or perhaps no color at all) for readings of hypotension. Please add this feature. Bp should not say “optimal” when concerningly low.

No customer support available

For some months now I have tried to contact Qardio support by email and social media. The email does not work and they don’t respond on their social media channels. Are they even still in business?

Unable to contact any support as link to support doesn’t work and there is no phone number.

Hardware great, software not so much

Probably the worst customer service possible. It typically takes 5 to 6 attempts to reach someone (we’ll get right back to you) and then you get the standard printed version. I have the BP cuff and scale. The BP registers on the app software, the scale does not. I also get daily reminders to test something OS? which I don’t have. Very frustrating.

No sleep time

This sleep time does not connect to my phone on most mornings. One morning, Jose at two hours and 13 minutes of sleep and then later that same day I have seven hours and 38 minutes of sleep. Bottom line seems quite unreliable. I think the blood pressure does not connect to the phone correctly. Every day for two weeks is exactly the same! How likely is that? I hope that this is vice would be reliable and useful

It’s dead; get another brand

We gladly used the Qardio Arm for about 7-8 years. Tried it today and the app didn’t work. That meant the BP cuff didn’t work, since it depends on the app. I learn from recent reviews here in the App Store that the company is out of business. Sure enough, when I clicked on the Support link in the app, I was led to a dead website. Not even a placeholder. Disappointing. We’re switching to an Omron Evolv.
