Quantiloop Pro - Live Looper

Use it to loop my guitar, its very easy to use and has more functionality than most far more expensive hardware pedal loopers. It also has an excellent user guide that explains the various features very well. Value for money is awesome, easy to recommend.

Couldn’t get it to install and run on ipad

I am using an IPad Air, with AUM, routing channels (mainly with AUV3 apps) to Quantiloop Pro, using the IAA outputs. Then I have Quantiloop Pro on its own channel in AUM, routed to my Mistress output channel. I had tried I think all the popular looper apps. Traditionally I have used hardware loop pedals for live music performances but found most looper apps too “clever” with fancy graphical interfaces. What I really needed was a looper app that mimics what I do with the pedals and Quantiloop Pro is the only one I have found that does this. Actually, in terms of functionality, it’s better (aside from latency) when combined with a Bluetooth pedal. I think Quantiloop Pro’s interface is good, it’s fairly intuitive, easy enough to see everything or find it, not too cluttered. I would like it to look less like a cheap pedal though, maybe some themes, but this is a very minor point. Having the button to switch back to the host, is really useful (amazingly, some apps do not have this and I have to swipe back which sometimes can mess up settings). Latency and sound quality seems reasonable, it doesn’t see, to add anything noticeable to the latency. I really like the way I can route inputs to multiple loops, and also have it output individual loops rather than just the main output. Great that there is a built in reverse effect, also the ability to host other AUV3 effects. I think the spike in learning has mainly been to do with switching, holding pedals etc. I would have given this 5 stars, but, I have a problem, and sadly it can be pretty bad. Sometimes, when I try to record another loop, usually when there are already 3 running, the other loop displays (where the waveforms are) freeze and at best there is a delay in the interface updating (so I cannot see that it is recording or where I the loop progress. At worst, it doesn’t record the new loop at all. Actually worse than that, I have had the whole thing crash on me, crashing the IAA outputs in AUM as well. I have only been able to recover by restarting everything. This has happened in them middle of a live performance, so it’s not good. I am trying to figure out a simpler set up, to see if it stops this from happening, but don’t really want to sacrifice too much, so it’d be great if this bug could be captured, tested and fixed.

Quantiloop Pro is probably the most feature-rich looper app for iOS. It is especially useful for people that are used to hardware looper devices, as it’s basic functionality is the same. However - there is so much more you can do with QL, including hosting AUv3 effects and instruments and really deep customisation.

Awesome app love it! Perfect for instant inspiration without all the fuss of a daw So many ideas and very customisable thumbs up developers.

This is a great app to use with the line 6 Helix

Just starting out in looper world and was using a Boss RC3 but this eclipses it by far. Best bit is I am using Quantiloop running on an iPad Pro connected to Yamaha THR1011W via USB midi and it is amazing. The midi audio effectively gives an effects loop so I can change amp settings for different parts of the loop (lead for lead, spangle phaser fro rhythm...) - not possible with the Boss in from the of the amp. Anyways enough drivel, for the price this is a major bargain. Oh and coupled with an AirTurn stomp box and I have all i need to be a dreadful version of Ed Sheeran :-)

This is the first review I’ve left for any app, and just thought I had to say ... well done ! I’ve been on the hunt for a looper that matches the flexibility of the looper in Ableton, and have spent a fortune on pedals that all had something, but not the whole package. What you have here is a well thought out, and very professional looper. Looking forward to setting up my Behringer fcb1010 with it and will be using it for live performances, all being well. Please continue to support this app, as there is nothing else out there that does this good a job !
