Quiche Reader

Read it later, or let it go

Beschreibung

FOR OVERWHELMED READERS.
With traditional read-it-later apps, you often end up wasting time scrolling and managing a long and daunting list of articles where you cannot tell anymore what is worth reading. Ultimately, you get backlog anxiety, you stop opening the app, and you have read nothing.
To solve this, Quiche Reader only shows you the first article in your queue. You must read, archive, or delete it, before reading the next one. You can cheat a bit and snooze an article to push it to the back of the queue, but only three times per article.
Quiche Reader removes the anxiety of decision making. It only shows the first article in your queue, and helps you decide to read or delete it, before you can proceed to the next one in line.
LET GO OF WHAT YOU DON’T NEED TO READ.
Quiche Reader encourages you to let go of articles you haven’t read for 30 days, and those you keep postponing reading.
UNINTERRUPTED READING EXPERIENCE.
Swipe to archive an article, and the next one in your queue appears instantly, with no loading time.
NEW STUFF IS NOT ALWAYS BETTER.
Your oldest saved articles are presented first so that they won’t be left forgotten at the bottom of the queue.
SAVE ARTICLES FROM ANYWHERE.
Save articles from any app and web browser on your iPhone, iPad, and Mac.

PRIVACY RESPECTFUL.
No sign up required, you can start using Reading Queue right away. Your queue and archive are stored in your private iCloud storage. It is also ad-free and does not track what you read. Please keep your personal data for yourself.
PRAISED AND LOVED.
“The point isn’t to read less, but more. Instead of wasting time picking which article to read, or getting so overwhelmed that you switch to Instagram, you’ll hopefully find your groove with Reading Queue.”
— Nick Douglas, Lifehacker, Jan 2019
“It has gradually become an indispensable part of my reading routine. Although pretty minimalist, it solves an essential issue that many reading services fail to do — make you go back to your reading list. I highly recommend it.”

“This is really well done. This might be the first read it later service I'll actually use. Really like how it isn't just an overwhelming list.”
— Bob W on Designer News
“This is INCREDIBLE! I've had similar issues with Pocket/Instapaper/Safari/Etc. in the past, and this is exactly what I've been looking for. The UX is super well done. It jumps you in and gets you started right away, and keeps you focused on the task.”
— Zachary B on Designer News

“Been beta testing this and have found it surprisingly effective at actually reading all the things I save for later. Love a well done single-purpose app.”

Great concept, my other reading lists are all cluttered with old articles and I barely look at them anymore.

Simple elegant app

I like the simplicity of the app and would love to see a few more options added. I hope the app is still being supported, as there hasn’t been any updates in awhile. Nice job on this beautiful app. Good to here, appreciate the quick response, and looking forward to what’s to come.

The Rare Perfect App

One of those few apps that I wouldn't change a single thing about. Private, free, simple, beautiful, and perfectly functional. Truly makes my life a little bit better.

Amazing read it later app

Kcinb on

The only read it later app youll ever need. It's so simple - opens the pages youve saved one by one. Free and no frills - no text search, highlighting, or text-parsed view. But it performs foundational functionality super well: Pages open from paywalled sites after a single login, web views always open easily. Im blazing thru my reading list. God send.

Private, Easy, and NO SUBSCRIPTION!

I have used Instapaper, Pocket, and Wallabag as various Read It Later services. This is the first one that I truly enjoy, and don't fell that I am selling my soul to use. It’s boasts a beautiful, dark interface (by default!), iCloud Sync, and is easy to use. It also has an macOS version available on the App Store, also, for free. This is a rare gem of an app. The developer, Greg (whose rest of the name I will not even attempt to write, as I will sure mess it up) has delivered to market, what an app **should** be. Simple, easy, **private**, and without the obnoxious subscription charges, so prevalent in todays apps. If this app were to go to a pay/buy model **without** a subscription, I will still support this developer by purchasing it.

A reading app that frees you from backlog overload

Switched to Reading Queue from Instapaper and have finally started to make a dent in my hundreds of backlog articles and essays. Not having to stare down a massive list to get to the next article makes a great difference.
