It works really well in general. One issue, the counter only works if you draw in quick poses. I like to do a side by side with procreate, so the app keeps saying I’m on the first sketch after the image changes. Wish I could disable that requirement. Otherwise it’s super useful for using your own reference pictures.
I use this side by side with Procreate. Love it. The only thing I’d like to see is a zoom function.
This app does everything I expect it to but I would be very happy if there was a way to pause the current gesture and if there was a numbered timer instead of a gradual bar decrease.
I thought this would. Have a collection of photos to sketch from. The archive is very small and only good for a few quick sketch sessions. I does seem to be able to steam photos that you might already have archived. It does not have ample photos to stream
I save a LOT of reference pictures, so this app gives an easy way to actually practice using those for gesture studies, or if I’m just not sure what picture I want to study or draw from. I rarely use the direct drawing, I keep it open alongside procreate and draw there. Once I started using this, I never went back to the browser gesture sites since I could use my own personalized ref folders
If you are looking for an app to improve your gesture drawings or timed art studies while also generating an archive to track your progress, look no further. Support is also 5 star, response in less than 30mins, hope the author brings more app like those or adding more features! Cheers
I think the app would be amazing if there was a class session going from 30 sec to 10 min poses (or 1 hour sessions over all.) other than that this is exactly what I’ve been looking for in an app.
My experience with the app has been great but in my opinion it’s missing a couple important features. - the ability to remove the default image galleries - The ability to sort galleries by name (to me it just seems like they populate randomly - the ability to set different intervals for the same session (eg. 1 minute for 10 pictures, then 3 minutes for 5 pictures, then 10 minutes for 1 pictures That being said it’s a fantastic app but I really wish it could do some of this stuff. Thanks!
App is effective as a very basic tool, that is to integrate an image shuffler with a timer in one app. My Suggestions: - Smart-shuffle, where the app corrects for images that happen to show up more often than others. Out of a pool of 80 images, I’d notice a handful of images that would just by chance pop up in almost half of my sessions, which may simply be an artifact of pure randomness but could be accounted for, similarly to how the iPod handled shuffle-play after complaints years ago. - Add to the All Sessions viewer the ability to view all past sessions for a particular image, useful for seeing more noticeable progress over time. Issues: - App crashes very frequently when trying to view any past drawing session. - Few instances where, upon moving on to a new photo, the sketch from the previous photo will remain. I think a quick hot fix would be to include a clear-all button just in case that happens.
