It took me some time to write this review. I quit smoking in May 2001 after 33 years of being a prolific smoker. I smoked every day. I loved to smoke. It is how I took a break and rewarded myself and all of the things. I always told myself if I could make it through one day without a cigarette I would never smoke again.The week I turned 50 I got shingles and was not feeling well. I had been listening to Andrew Johnson’s relax meditations for quite some time and downloaded the quitting smoking meditation which I believe is more like a type of hypnosis which I didn’t really believe in.I listened to it twice.That was it. I can’t really tell you what he said because I went into a meditative state or fell asleep.What I can tell you is that I have not smoked since the first day that I listened to it.I miss smoking but oddly every time I think about actually doing it I feel sort of nauseous. I hope that someone will read this and take a chance and it will help them the way it helped me. With gratitude I thank you Andrew.

the first part of this app is wonderful, very relaxing. but right after the induction there is a crackly noise and the volume jumps very loud, startling you out of your zone. if they could fix that technical error then this would be very helpful.

Honestly was trying to quit for 3 years... With true dedication. Then I saw this app and said 'why not?!?!' ... Took 2 weeks of listening to it at least everyother day.. And then, I just didn't feel like smoking anymore... 2 years and six months, I can thank this program (exclusively) for helping me fulfill my dream!! Seriously, I have recommended this app to everyone and will never forget it

I have tried and failed to quit smoking numerous times in the past. This app is relaxing and Andrew does a fine job of putting you in a mental trance and letting your subconscious do the work for you! Was a pack a day smoker, and With the help of Andrew, I haven't had a cigarette in 22 days and no longer crave them!

In spite of the issues with this app (the volume increase, mainly, and that pop) I really like this app. I have always had difficulty turning off all the thoughts trying to sleep, even as a child. This app never fails to put me to sleep, even with the louder second section. I also hated the background music at first and found it horribly distracting, and still fell asleep! After approximately a month, listening every night at bedtime, I have quit smoking. I cut back and am using nicotine replacement still, but feel determined that this time the quit will stick. I love how you can hear and feel the compassion in Andrew's wonderful voice and positive suggestions. It now feels like listening to a supportive friend who only has your best interest at heart and wants you to succeed. I downloaded other of his apps because I enjoyed the relaxation and sleep induced by this one. My favorite thing is the option settings!!! You can stay asleep or wake up, long or short induction, or repeat the sequence multiple times! I sincerely thank you, Andrew, from the bottom of my healthier heart! *****Update**** Thank you for the updates. There is still the issue of the louder second portion. Still has the "pop," too. At first I thought these issue were fixed, but I must have fallen asleep earlier because when I don't fall asleep, I still hear a difference. Still love the app, but do wish this was fixed. (It's worse in the "confidence" app.)
