Fun game, some of game modes could be improved
I like the art style and music of the game, as well as diversity of game modes.
However - a few improvements that can be made:
#1 Splat game mode is good concept but kind of bad execution, even if I get rid of all bugs I can still run out of time and lose which doesn’t make sense. Also, if only consonants appear as bugs, there is no opportunity to make a word and you are just sitting there waiting.
#2 - time attack is fun but it doesn’t give you any sort of indication for the words that you missed - I feel like that would be helpful to improve your vocabulary once the round is over. Because there is no detailed stats about words and results, it makes the relatability of this game not feel worth it.
iPhone vs iPad
On my iPhone I would give this app 5 stars. The games are fun and engaging. I have tried all of the games, but enjoy Time Attack and Cupid’s Arrow the most. I mainly play in solo form.
My iPad version is not as clean and tends to glitch more often; thus, I would give it 4 stars. The Cupid’s Arrow game has a tendency to miss giving points even when the words are in the definition. For example, I received no points for “black and white” in the definition of zebra.
fun game, butttttt...
this is a really fun game, this is the type of word game im looking for, a short collection of super fun word games. however i wish that sentence case and cupid's arrow were also unlimited to play, and premium could just be for extra perks and all that stuff. or at the very least sentence case and cupids arrow could have limited plays per day
Great game, some glitches
The game is very fun and I play it with my partner often.
There are some points of contention that make the game frustrating at times.
The keyboard is INCREDIBLY slow and the distances between the keys are so close that mistyping happens with EVERY WORD. As you can imagine, in a timed game, this can be really flustering.
The clear button takes a full half second to clear a word, making it almost faster just to hit backspace. If you hit clear many times in a row, it won’t clear the word until the last press registers.
The dictionary they use doesn’t seem to be a standard dictionary because it’s missing common word variants and other common parlance but contains proper nouns for some reason.
These criticisms are solely to alert the devs and not anything that prevents me from coming back to the game over and over again. This game is a blast if you like word games!
There Seems To Be A Glitch, But The Game Is Stellar
This is a fun, unusual, amusingly designed word game.
Originally I left a lower review because the glitch I describe below was frustrating. But I discovered I don’t have to reboot the iPad…just close the game and come back later. And there are my scores!
Earlier review: When I’ve played, in solo mode, the game ends, asked me to wait for results, then shows me an ad (both times for Monopoly Go). The ad ends and…nothing. I can’t close it, waiting does nothing, tapping on the ad just gives me the option to download Monopoly. Have to shut down the iPad completely to get rid of the ad. I never get results. This is…um…frustrating. Makes me not want to play again.
Getting better all the time
I love this game. I’m improving over time, getting faster, choosing longer words excetera. Now that’s a good word to use! You may borrow it if you like. I think my vocabulary is expanding as well. It’s fun to see what words my opponent uses, they are usually very different from mine. All in all, a very good, fast paced game.
Lots of fun!
Scratches your brain in the best way. Challenging without being stressful. All the fun of Wordle with more games to play.
Fun game but…
This can be addicting! I enjoy playing against other players. The wait time to find a match sometimes take too long. Glitches and people leaving mid game can be frustrating. Fun game and I’m keeping this app on my phone for now.
Font and Screen Too Small
Playing on an iPad mini, I cannot read the screen. The game may be fine, but I’ll never know.
My favorite app
I genuinely don’t understand the poor reviews - like they actually crack me up. I find the game so catchy and fun - I actually can’t wait to play it every morning with my coffee before I settle into my workday. I actually ended up deleting some other word game apps I have. Great app!
