Technically impressive, gameplay wise, not so much.
Honestly, I wasn't impressed. Technically, it is great. You get a great deal of sandbox options and I think you can build your own housing. There are many parts ranging from survival to exploring to combat. However, the sum of its parts is not that great. The control is trial and error. It lags on iPad Mini 4. It feels sluggish at times. However, the bigger problem is that it is "too sandbox" for its own sake. You have no direction. You have a checklist of so called goals but you're thrown in the game with 500 things you can do and you don't even know what to do first. Build an oven? Build a chest? Explore? Cut threes? There is a complete lack of hold handing and it is not that intuitive what you need to do next. I like survival titles like this but I find this to be technically competent (very competent) but lacking from an user experience perspective. I guess you can go worse for 1 EUR but I've deleted it 20 minutes later.
