Radio Unit

This is a great app for radio and capturing sound snips/textures inside Drambo to manipulate further. I would love to see more stations as I have tried to add more myself with the url function but it doesn’t seem to work? And can we get a pitch slider within the app to slow down radio in real time……. All hail King Drambo!

This is a must have app for music producers and anyone who loves to experiment with soundscapes ❤️ Love this app! Great for late night ambient listening too.

The so-called ‘seamless Integration with GarageBand’ is not so seamless. As in… it doesn’t work. Neither does it work in Logic Pro. Works in AUM but that’s not why I bought it. So that’s £3 I’d just as well have thrown down the road. Cheers.

Especially after the latest update this app has become my go to for this kind of stuff (wink wink). Don’t hesitate, just get it. It is very intuitive and integrates well with all the host apps as well as working well in standalone as a radio player! Win, win!

Great app from Beepstreet. Again!!

This is a great radio app. Both the standalone and the excellent plugin. My feature request is probably more related to Apple than the devs of this app: Support for streams in OGG container format.

The recent update has made this plugin a real powerhouse with some really great new features. The song recognition is incredibly accurate and the range of inbuilt stations is huge. Some more stuff is coming according to the developer which will make this even more useful...

I have made a lot of use of this plugin since I got it. Recently, however, the BBC has changed the way it puts out its stream and the app will no longer play them. Any chance of an update to make it work again?

It’s good but would be better if it was possible to actually add stations to the user slots, which doesn’t seem to work. If this were possible I would have given 5 stars. Edit. Despite what the developer says I’ve yet to find a URL that will work with this app and I’ve tried an awful lot of them. Even public domain stations can’t be added and as I said in my original review, it doesn’t seem to be possible to actually add user stations. It’s a bit of a shame but perhaps the developer would care to add a few in a future update.

this app + koala sampler auv3 app.. and drambo to host those two. all together you have an insanely inspiring concrete sampling force of nature. i personally love the solo flute, harp and piano stations.. along with the avant garde, experimental, modular station, drone (those are all keywords you could use to find those types of stations). not all the stations you search for will work (those just are silent) i think there’s a regional blocker going on that’s not the fault of this app. anyway, i love radio unit. way worth the price.
