App functionality somewhat limited
I think the service Range is providing is potentially 5/5 stars; however, I’m only giving the app 4/5 stars because the are still some quirks that need to be worked out. Based on my limited experience over the past few days, I feel very optimistic that both the service & app can go above & beyond what other online personal financial service providers are offering & accomplishing. As promising as the Range seems, the description here in the App Store is about the service & website, more so than the app itself. The app has less functionality & content than the website, but when using Safari on iPhone the user is forced to use the app. Support was prompt and responsive and recommended I use a desktop/laptop for full functionality, something I don’t always have access to. I was eventually able to access the full website via iPad by selecting the desktop version in my browser settings. Again, the reason I’m giving 4/5 stars is because accessing the full Range experience currently isn’t as simple as only downloading the iPhone app & running. While this limitation is understandable and reasonable, please point this out upfront in the App Store description for the full 5/5 stars. Or, disable the browser pop up that forces iPhone users to use the app, and instead give user the option to use the app or website.
