The app stops after about the first 5 minutes of text and doesn’t load the next segment. Update July 11, 2024 The issue above has been fixed. There are still lots of room for improvement. If you want to re-listen to something, you need to manually scroll all the way up and tap on the first word. It would be great if it can automatically create table of contents so that we can jump to different sections

Keeps pausing unexpectedly. Fix bugs please. Response Recieved.

I am having the same problem as another reviewer. The app will start off sounding great and read for a short while and then suddenly freeze. I downloaded it to both my iPad and iPhone with various settings but got the same result. It would be an excellent app if it only worked!

Works for shorter texts I think, freezes up and cuts off for longer texts. Probably they don’t have the infrastructure to voice longer texts for everyone.

As others have mentioned, this app can choke on larger files and stop working. Hopefully a sleep timer will be added for larger files, so the app will stop reading after a timeframe or at the end of a chapter. Amazing voice quality.

Maybe the app is so new that they are still working out bugs, but the app keeps freezing after about 5 minutes of reading. Otherwise this would be among my favorite apps of all time.

I love this app and the voices are the most realistic of any speech to text reader I’ve found so far. Hopefully they will keep updating it because it is very glitchy and will often stop reading in the middle of an article shared from the link. This is a very user-friendly app and if it was more consistent would be number one by far!

Stops reading after the second paragraph. Also the voice is inconsistent and reads too quickly without reasonable pauses. Selecting the voices and saving seemed laborious. I was hoping this app would be awesome but it has a long ways to go.

As others have said, the app is excellent when it works doing exactly what you want it to with a nice interface. You can have any article or file read to you at the speed of your choice in an AI generated voice of your choice. Eleven labs AI readers sounds completely natural and high quality. If you leave off midway through and article you can simply return later and pick up where you left off while reading along if you like. The problem is, it simply fails too often at present. I’ve used the app 7 times and it has not worked 3 of them. The text loads and the AI reader loads for the first 1-2 minutes then halts. Probably the server can’t handle the request, sometimes you get an error message sometimes you don’t but you’ll just have to try again in a few hours because it will not proceed. If this issue gets fixed I would absolutely love the app and use it all the time. As is, I can’t use it because the convenience of having the article read to me as opposed to reading it is outweighed by the inconvenience of the unreliability that it will work. I’ve stopped using for now but will try again in a few months to see if the issue is handled.

Wonderful until it isn’t. Loved it but for longer texts it hangs as if something is trying to load and then nothing happens. Sad. Loved this when it worked.
