Kind of half-baked
You can read snippits or ad-riddled pages. Probably better to just use Safari. Reader mode is available for $20, but it’s free in Safari.
Ja, ReadKit ist komplett kostenlos und enthält keine In-App-Käufe oder Abonnements.

The app looks clean and powerful, and I was looking forward to subscribing to add more accounts. However, the first service I tried (Wallabag) got hung up almost immediately with a sync error. If I receive a reply from the devs and manage to get it working, I'll revisit, but for now it seems like sync, the most fundamental feature, doesn't work right 😭
I tried this app out for the free trial period and overall it has a lot going for it. There is much in the design that is reminiscent of Reeder, but is missing some of the design language that I've grown accustomed to. That alone isn't a deal-breaker, this app should be allowed to succeed on its own merits, but where it really falls short is in the basic expectations of a reader. For one, despite choosing background refresh, this app never picked up updates from my miniflux server. I always had to manually refresh to see what's new in my rss feeds. It also lacks some of the integrations that I would expect for it's read later service like being able to tag links that I share with it. Overall it seems like this app could be something great, but not until some of these major issues are addressed.
Just wondering if anyone can help. My devices have been compromised for 7 years or longer by my husband and his mistress. I think they are part of GitHub . Can anyone help?
And it’s 5 stars!
We need iCloud sync support! please! This is very important!!
Been looking at alternatives to Reeder. I thought Readkit was a worthy competitor other than the fact that it has no iCloud support. This app needs iCloud support.
This is the one to get hands down! The clean interface, customization, and reading options are unmatched. The integration with all the popular rss and “read it later” services is great. Don’t think twice on this one. It’s worth every penny.
ReadKit is the simplest way to keep up with the blogs and websites that interest you without subscribing to dozens of newsletter. ReadKit is ad-free and has a simple UI. It’s a pleasure to use. It even pulls in all the articles I have saved in Pocket. It also features several subscription levels. All are quite reasonable. Highly recommended for all fans of RSS.
Good alternative to Newsify and Reeder but with need for some minor fixes: 1. Reading and article doesn’t mark it as read and there is no gesture to mark all as read (eg, swiping down) 2. Background sync is random; many times it doesn’t happen for a long interval and it’s as if the app updates when it decides to. The Mac version can specify the sync interval so why can’t the iOS version? 3. Embedded tweets don’t display in the web view I’ve reached out to the developer multiple times and have never heard back. The main advantage of this over Newsify (which has some advantages) is the seemingly built-in content blocker support that fixes some problematic ads on various sites. ADDENDUM: I deleted the app. Never ever got any response from the developer and there were too many bugs on iPadOS and iOS (different bugs on each OS) and I’d rather use an app like Newsify that is well supported and works well.
