Remote control for Mi Box

i paid for the app and doing great, but is there any option to use the phone keyboard instead of swiping on the tv kbd?

It was working fine! After the last update none of the remote buttons work and also requires a location service to be allowed for the app, I think local network access is enough!!! Deleted the app!
