Rent Apartments & Homes: June

Staying with June Homes has been one of the worst experiences of my life. The apartment and room were *filthy* when I moved in. Our apartment had a cockroach infestation. The monitor I ordered with the room was nowhere to be found, but I was charged for it anyway. They continuously added new monthly charges *after* the payment deadline, forcing me to pay the $2.95 “convenience fee” an extra four times in my two months living there. They have withheld my security deposit for an illegal amount of time with zero communication. I finally emailed them, and they sent an automated message claiming they have a high volume of move-outs right now. I guess that gives them carte blanche to break the law! Seriously, go with ANY other option besides these frauds.

This company claims it’s for students/interns/young people but the price for a bedroom- not an entire apartment- is outrageous. Me and my roommates signed our lease, liking that there would be a housekeeper for the main areas and that they would supply household items like toilet paper, soap, etc. The housekeeper does not clean. Our bathroom had so many brown spots I later realized was mold and we had to clean it after submitting tickets saying the bathroom was not cleaned at all. She came back and sprayed beach and turned on the water after I complained. It was not solved. They stopped delivering items and gave me and my 2 roommates 20$ each to buy supplies. Toilet paper and paper towels are nearly $20 alone and they did not care. We couldn’t go over that or they wouldn’t discount it. Recently we had an infestation with ants. The landlord came and put down stuff to attract them but it was not nearly enough to kill them. I had to throw out several of my items and wash all my clothes as did my roommates because of the ants. JuneHomes said an exterminator would come and sent the day and timeframe. After I told them he didn’t come they did not respond to my ticket for 3 days. I had to buy products to treat it after 3 days of having no answers or communication because they also refused to let me contact the landlord. Now, they won’t refund me, they are blaming me and saying I interferes with the ‘treatment’ that I proved with videos did not kill the ants. I’m a student and I work a lot of hours. They charge an extra $109 basically to be your landlord and they cannot communicate and do not help. Whatever you do, do NOT book with them. If you do, only a max of 3 months so you can find somewhere else. Don’t make this mistake!

This company steals money. Don't use it!

I’m unable to use the app. It’s not loading any information. I’ve tried uninstall and install and it doesn’t work.

Firstly, I signed contract which includes $109 for service fee. They said I would have 2 times for common place cleaning then after moving in about 1-2 months, they cut it down to 1 times and said due to cost increase. Secondly, Its literally I moved in to the house of roaches, red ants, bugs. So so many roaches and needed to report via ticket in then bought the spray. The rent is $900 plus $109 (service fee) = $1009 per month without utilities and its in Austin, Texas. I moved in from other country and I rushed at that time to find accommodation before I arrived to the States so I just have a look via their images. Be aware , the accommodation will be totally different with the picture. It’s terrible horrible and worst !! Thirdly, They won’t care about your privacy. The neighbour replaced the new fence and they cut down a big tree right outside my door then they climbed to my proof without asking anything, I asked them and they said they had talked with my landlord. But I never received any notice, at least heads up in advanced. I almost called 911. Lastly , all facilities in side the house is terrible. My 1 year journey in the States would be much better If I wouldn’t sign this contract with them !!

Don’t not rent with Junehome they set you up in a house witch isn’t bad, but theirs was no heat, no ac,no washer and dryer unlike what they said and there was a leak in the boiler. when the house mates and I tried to get them to fix it junehome would argue saying nothing was broken were just using to much water and gas, it took them months to fix the leak and the air duct breaks. Bad company , horrible customer support stay clear

This app is required when renting from June homes. It shouldn’t be.

As other users have said this all is riddled with bugs and horrible oversights with the apps UI. for a while you couldn’t see guests you’d added to your apartment etc. Now when typing a reply for an open ticket the comment box goes away so you can’t see what you’re typing and there is no way for you to attach an image to an existing ticket. None of the codes in the app are correct including the WiFi name. Every notification comes through twice, it reminds me when it’s “Trash day” even though there is no such thing in the building and there is no code for the Garbage/Recycling room.

The app has lots of bugs which makes it borderline impossible to use. when you type a message in the support threads you can’t see what you’re typing, every notification comes through twice, and sometimes when you tap one of the tabs, it takes you to a totally different one

I like(d) that this app is fast & somewhat modern, but, doesn’t give you the right information for the apartment. Because I’m currently in a temporary apartment, & all the info I have on the apartment is only based on the one I’m moving to in a month! And ohh, don’t even get me started on how this company is so unreliable, mis communicative & inconsiderate (not insensitively or douchey) they are! Ugh…
