Rewind: Truly Personalized AI

Rewind is an app that stuck with me since it launched last year on the Mac. It's like Time Machine but for everything you do instead of just file backups. Same here on the iPhone. I was using Chrome but Rewind made me switch to Safari because I love being able to go back and see what I read a few weeks back, or get summaries of meetings at any time. This idea of "time computing" is totally relevant in my opinion, and it's the only application of AI (GPT integration) which makes sense to me. At first it's a bit creepy to get detailed recaps of things you did that you had totally forgotten by a machine. But then you realize it's like a superpower... You don't HAVE to remember stuff anymore, how relieving is that? Fully on board with what they're doing, keep it up! - Arrigo

Cool app with a generous free plan but need the ability to clear timeline history, selectively and entirely. Edit: 5 star review dropped to 1 star, as the developer has stated in a review response that their new app has taken priority and they will not be updating Rewind in the foreseeable future. This app is in need of a major overhaul to usability, functionality, and UI, so if it will just be sitting as is, then I unfortunately won’t be continuing to use the app.

I was using this app and recorded a zoom call. When I was viewing the transcript there were things that I never said being relayed back in the transcript. APPLE STORE YOU NEED TO TAKE THIS APP DOWN!

Heidi, please make this app more user friendly to the average person. The timeline should not be where this app opens. I think you really need a UI polish. Please don’t give up on this, it really has a lot of potential.

I love the idea of Rewind AI and very much want it to work. There have been moments where worked but it consistently degrades and stops working. I give up. There are much more reliable ways to do what Rewind promises to do. Very sad.

I would love for this to work. However only a small portion of websites I visit in Safari or screenshots I take seem to get imported into the app. And there’s no way to manually import anything. It just decides not to work sometimes and doesn’t give you any feedback as to what’s going on under the hood. I even tried to manually activate the extension in safari but that doesn’t seem to do anything. It also does not expose any extensions to iOS. Seems like it would be fairly obvious that after parsing the screenshots it would expose that to the iOS system search functionality. Rewind is a cool idea, but it’s not particularly useful in its current form. Yay for not requiring an account setup or subscription payments though, I do appreciate that it just does its thing without any of that hassle.

I go to a wikipedia article for Balatro. Later, I search in Rewind for "balatro". 0 results. So, not only no OCR but… not even visited URLs are searchable. Broken?

I love this and the desktop app. But I don’t use it often enough to justify the cost. I really really wish there was a pay as you go tier for those of us who use it at most 2-4 times a month.

Great app. I’m using Chrome as the default browser tho. Would be nice if you could support Chrome.
