It really works!
It's a great app for rock hunters, but even though it works it has things pop up but a cheat to that is just scroll down or save it and it tells you what rock it is. All and all its a pretty good game.

Rock Seeker identifies the rock in your camera shot or photo with the utmost accuracy. Our app has a comprehensive, easy to browse interface that helps you study the rock, understand its physical and chemical properties too. It’s also possible to add the rock to your rock collection.
You can see possible location of every rock you found or just browsing with convenient map showing deposits nearby.

RockSeeker offers the following auto-renewing subscriptions to provide you with unlimited access to identification and database within RockSeeker Platinum while you maintain an active subscription: Weekly with a 3-day trial at $4.99; Weekly at $4.99; Monthly with a 3-day trial at 9.99; Monthly at $9.99; Yearly with 3-day trial at 29.99, Yearly at $29.99. For other currencies, the price corresponds to the same price tier on the App Store Pricing Matrix.
Payment will be charged to the credit card connected to your iTunes Account when you confirm the initial subscription purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current subscription period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period, and the cost of the renewal will be identified. I took a snapshot of a Small Quartz Rock that I had found on Gold Beach, OR…
And it did not register! Gold Beach was where I had found it in a pile of pebbles!
Bad
First of all it told my a blue and grey stone was obsidian which it has no resemblance to also it only let me identify one picture before it tried to force me to subscribe and wouldn’t show me my results without so it is just a money juicer
Horrible results, hard to cancel! Do yourself a favor and don’t use this app!
Worthless app. Save your money and use a different app!
why do I have to pay
I got on it and I was like cool oh wait I have to pay every month just to identify a rock!

It couldn’t tell a rhinestone from a diamond. Useless.
Nothing seems correct
I got basalt on one try then Jade on the next. Obviously this app is unreliable. Def trying to turn off the subscription pronto!
Grandson Rocks
I downloaded the app so I could identify rocks/gems with my 5 year old grandson. He was so excited to scan them and see what they were. This was so much more fun than trying to communicate with him while he’s watching TV! I am going to sign up for the year subscription because I know when I visit him he is going to want to use the app.
