Rocketmiles

I booked a room on RocketMiles and I received an error message stating the room was not booked. "We reached out to our hotel providers but we were unable to confirm your booking. Sorry for the inconvenience." Even though I never received a hotel booking they still charged my card. When I called customer service they confirmed the problem and promised to refund the false charge minus the value of the points. I received an email two weeks later that the hotel would not process the refund. After several weeks fighting with them and a dozen calls I received most of my money back. I will never book with them again, it's not worth it.

The app won’t switch currencies. I went to book online but the booking kept failing. I’m the end the price increased but the booking went through. I had thought that room was no longer available. Today I see the same room for $100 less (30%) across many competitions. Customer services said there is nothing they can do. I feel this is due to their technical issues and I’m very unhappy. $100 is not worth 2,000 airline points.

Have settings set to CAD but still shows USD. Frustrating to be a Canadian user of this app.

I use rocketmiles every time I book a hotel stay bit is an awesome way to gain Aeroplan points and it is a very simple process booking through their app. Even when I had a difficulty rocketmiles were very prompt with a solution

I have used several hotel booking sites for years and tried Rocketmiles 3 times in recent memory. First 2 bookings were ok. As in, there was a room when I arrived and it was ok; albeit with problems both times. One hotel did not offer a needed shuttle service and we had to get a taxi to the airport and the other did not have the double room we had booked. However, Aeroplan miles made it worthwhile. My most recent booking in March was horrible and I’ll never use them again. There was no room waiting for us at the holiday inn although I had received confirmation the week before. We had to find another hotel at the last moment miles away from the venue we were attending that night. We made several calls to the “concierge “ were offered no assistance and spent $70. In cabs because all the neighboring hotels were already booked. To make it worse, I had to call Rocketmiles several times over the next 2 weeks to get my money back! After repeated follow up calls and emails I have been told there was a room; that I had chosen to cancel it and there was nothing they could do by way of compensation!! I don’t appreciate being called a liar. And I certainly didn’t appreciate the 2 hours we waited at the hotel for a non existent room. In future I will book directly with the hotel or use Hotels.com; who have never let me down with bookings all over the world. Do not trust your travel plans to these people. They simply don’t care. Why prices only in US$, when I’m a user from Canada, enough is enough!

After going through the whole process I am told that room is taken. Then when I write a review I am told my nickname is taken a waste of time. Living in CANADA why do you post prices in US currency
